The Kit came professionally packaged, it is sturdy and has plenty of room for many great yields of gourmet mushrooms you are craving to grow. The lid has six vent holes that you can open and close by rotating the vent for maximum air circulation and oxygen flow. Temperature Hygrometer monitors temperature as well as humidity all the time. The foundation offers a great amount of space for multiple layers of substrate. This mushroom growing kit does not include mushrooms or mushroom spawn or mushroom substrate so I can improvise. This is a decent mushroom box. The box is made out of very thin cheap plastic material, and it feels a little flimsy. It's also smaller than I expected. The temperature monitor and the humidity sensor feature is nice, but overall for the price I was a little disappointed

I expected much more from this product. It’s just a normal plastic container with a couple of holes. It’s also smaller than it was supposed to be for mushrooms, but I guess I should’ve paid attention to the specs. Today I would consider any cheaper option available and would get a better product.

This is great for people just getting into the hobby. It is small and somewhat thin, yes, but it has what you need to get the job done. Unlike some inflatable options, this isn't going to pop or leak and is easier to clean. The thermometer and hygrometer is an added bonus you don't find on other tubs. Good for small grows. For those who maybe want to test the waters before making big investments or doing a whole bunch of DIY, this is a good option. ... show more

    • A Cute Little Mushroom Growhouse
In planning this years garden, I decided to give mushroom growing a try. I began looking at what was available and opted for this product. The plastic dome is thin but functional. There is some minor assembly involved to install the four vent discs. I do like that it comes with a unit to monitor temperature and humidity. Proper temperature is 50f to 75f and humidity 85% to 95%. This will make it so much easier to monitor and adjust. Since it is now just my wife and I, this appears to be large enough to supply the amount of mushrooms that we eat. Cheers All ... show more

This is a simple and easy product to set up. In a minute it is ready to use. I wouldn’t consider it as sturdy. The plastic is very thin and pretty easy to damage. Price point is off. $30 for the type of material isn’t great.

I was a little disappointed with this product when I unpackaged it. I thought that the base would have been made of higher quality, but I found both the base and the top to be very flimsy. The vent covers are difficult to attach to the top and take a lot of pressure which worried me that the plastic would break or crack. I feel that the only quality part of this planter is the digital humidity monitor. You do have to apply your own substrate and monitor the water levels. I think I will stick with my normal way of cultivating mushrooms by using rotting hardwood logs. Additionally, I do not feel there is enough surface area for mushrooms to be properly grown and to have a sustainable harvest. I have been growing mushrooms for years and I do not think it will be worth my time to use this small plastic container mostly because the cost of inoculated pegs are very expensive to waste. This may be better for a novice who would like to see if they would have success growing mushrooms, but some mushrooms take many years to produce fruit. ... show more
