Description

Provide IP67 level dust and water protection for musical instruments, Firearms, or tools using this customizable weatherproof hard case from Moonrise. The IP, or Ingress Protection, rating is a two digit value that indicates the level of protection provided by the cases. The IP67 rating of this case means that it provides complete protection against dust and other solid particles and that it can withstand up to 30 minutes of submersion in water at up to 1 meter depth. The case is constructed of impact and ultraviolet resistant polypropylene and has a fully customizable foam interior for superior shock protection. A pressure relief valve allows you to slowly and safely equalize the pressure inside and out.

Both 2-inch foam layers are pluck and pull foam so I was able to make spaces for plugs/adapters underneath the top layer cutouts. It's heavier than I expected but I'd rather it be heavy-duty than flimsy. I use this for all my keyboard accessories. Ideal for protecting high-value electronic equipment that will be outdoors, the only problem is that you have to design the interior, either by laser cutting or replacing the foam with dividers. Externally it is very good but internally it does not offer you anything.

It's a really nice case. The dimensions? Just so you know, I don't understand why the hell can't you have inside dimensions. I get it. You want to make it look super big and affordable and everything. The only way you really know the exact dimensions is to put it on the website. I don't understand why it's so hard to do that. Are you have the exterior dimensions but you can't have the interior dimensions? The interior dimensions is really all I care about and most people do. It's a great case. Unfortunately I had to order two of them to find out that they're both too small on the interior. So subtract about 2 in on the outsides length and width and then about a half inch from the inside dimension. So overall I really would love to have this case. Unfortunately it's just too small so I went and bought a different one on Amazon that actually had the interior dimensions. I paid an extra 75 bucks for it but it was worth it just because of the dimensions. Come on, just put the inside dimensions? Is it that hard? ... show more

Truly outstanding for the price. While the polymer materials aren't quite that of other major manufacturers of these types of cases, this brand is outstanding for the price. I didn't need the best of the best for my use case this time, so I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. Well done by Monoprice.

I use these to build out custom battery enclosures for portable solar power systems. The 28.5 liter model fits a group 31 battery with room for DIN rail mounted breakers, solar charger, and a 4g router. The sides are at least a 1/4" thick and the unit is well made. You can fly with this case as carry-on luggage on most US domestic airlines (22" x 14" x 8" version). I have successfully flown with it several times, including flights on the relatively small CRJ-900. Easily fits inside the sizer at the gate and in the overhead compartment. The case is good quality for a reasonable price. The included two layers of foam are acceptable, but three or four thinner layers would be preferable.
