Came well-packaged, with no damage or missing parts whatsoever. The color is true to the image, a nice wood-grain grey. My photo makes it look a bit warmer because it has both natural light from the window and the glow of my electric fireplace in the photo, so you will see some variance depending on your room's lighting, of course. It's not real wood, and anyone with any sort of experience with pressed wood product versus natural wood will be able to tell immediately, but looks and feels significantly more solid than most similar products and doesn't have any peeling/uneven finish/warping as can be common with pressed wood products. It does not give you that "ugh, obviously cheap" feel that so many pressed wood products can, if you know what I mean? There's no shiny/almost plastic-y finish here. It was extremely easy to put together, took me maybe 45 minutes on my own, and will probably be much faster for someone without a working memory disorder like myself! The instructions were clear and concise, all parts were labeled, and everything fit together snugly and easily. It is extremely solid and easy to move, there was no creaking, it's very stable. I think this would be able to survive several moves as long as you weren't extra rough with it or anything; it seems much more solid than my Ikea desk, for example. I am very impressed. I prefer actual wood furniture when possible, but we all know that in this price range that requires a lot of luck, and weathered grey stain real wood furniture seems rare. I will be purchasing more from the Monarch Dark Taupe collection for my bedroom once I narrow it down to which piece I want! EDIT 7/27/2023: Almost six years and two moves later, I'm still impressed. No warping or peeling of the wood, no wobbly connections. It survived some careless movers that managed to permanently mess up my office chair & destroy the back of a cheaper standalone shelving unit, so doubly impressed that this console table didn't take any damage. I have two other pieces of Monarch furniture that show the same resiliency. Assuming their quality level hasn't changed, I would not hesitate to order more furniture from them in the future. ... show more

So looking for a more unique stand, I found this one. Shipped quickly enough, though when I received the box, it looked like it had been opened previously. After pulling everything out, I found that I was missing all the hardware to put it together. Bummer, but it happens. I contacted the seller via Amazon and got a response almost immediately. I told them the problem, gave them the part numbers I was missing, and they got it out ASAP, everything accounted for. The communication was great, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Now that everything is put together, I will say the stand is unique. I was afraid it would be shaky with the limited support, but it's surprisingly sturdy. One of the photos on the store page showed it having four legs- this is wrong, it only has two and relies on the backpiece to act as a long "third leg" which is fine. Cable management is an issue if you have a few things and don't want to see the cords, as this stand has very little in the way of backing to hide cords. But, get yourself some zip ties and adhesive cable clips and you should be okay. I was able to put a Xbox series x, PS4, Switch, router and HDMI splitter on this stand and hid all the cables just fine. The vertical space in the stand is perfect for the xbox series x as it allows for about 6 inches of space between the top of the box for ventilation. ... show more

I needed to make some adjustments to my front room and needed a new higher TV stand than the one I already had. I looked at quite a few TV stands and this one came across in a few searches so I went ahead and got it. It actually arrived a day before the due date. When it arrived the delivery person said the box had came open as he was bring it to me door. There was no damaged to the part though. It was easy to assemble for me. After getting it together my concern was, will my 55" TV fit (with tv legs attached) without falling off. Good thing I purchased the small mount. It fit perfectly in the space I have it set up at. Ordered Nov 29, Shipped December 3 with expected arrival of December 5. Never arrived. On December 11, I requested a replacement be shipped. Received a black desk instead of a white TV stand on December 14. Had to send the desk back via FedEx (no charge to me). Had to wait until FedEx picked up on December 17. Once the company confirmed that the desk had been picked up on December 17, they finally shipped the correct item which was received on December 20. The communication from the company regarding the mishaps was quick, I admit, and for that I give them high marks. And they did ultimately ship the correct product that I paid for. I suffered no additional charges, and, thankfully this was not a gift nor was it an item that I needed for any time-sensitive purpose. If one can ignore the frustrating shipping circumstances, I would say that overall, I like the look of the product, it is as advertised and is a very sturdy piece of furniture for the price paid. ... show more

We have two 55" TV's side by side in our bedroom primarily for gaming. We needed something taller to see over the bed. It was a challenge finding height, quality, and value but I'm so glad I took the chance and got these. We were concerned when we saw the mutilated boxes, but nothing was damaged or missing. Just a never ending supply of broken styrofoam everywhere lol. Assembly was pretty easy and only took us each 1.5hrs. We were able to do so independently without needing help to hold pieces. Our PS5's fit perfectly and still have plenty of room to display more collectables. There is a partial back which hides most of the cords too. This stand is VERY sturdy and great quality.
