It wasnt difficult to assemble if you have half a brain and can follow instructions. However, it was time consuming so make sure you carve out the better part of a day for it. Aside from that, it is incredibly sturdy, looks amazing in my room, and holds everything I need it to. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality, functionally, and look of the product.     • Unique style at a reasonable price
Make no mistake this is a VERY heavy unit, poss 3 people if moving the delivery inside. Once assembled this unit is beautiful. Now the assembly will require 2 people and some patients. It took me 2 days to assemble. The directions are reasonably clear and all parts were labeled. Though daunting at first as it starts to take shape it is easy enough to see what goes where. Leave yourself plenty of space to lay out the pieces. The drawers can be especially tricky but it should be pre drilled. just pay extra attention to the left and right slide mechanisms and that they correspond correctly when mounted. I am very happy with the look and color of this piece. The color is more of a grey and looks much better than the pictures would suggest. It seems to be well built and solid. The drawer pulls are what you'd expect but seem to be easily changed for something upgraded but look nice enough as they are. Despite being fiberboard it doesn't have that cheap look of some others. Keeping in mind the price and what the materials really are I think most would be very happy with the design and durability. I've had mine for 5 mos and am still pleased with it. ... show more

purchased this last week very sturdy! we have a 55 inch tv on it and the stand is about 60 so looks great!...... only thing i wasnt to crazy about it is a little more on the light taupe side rather than the greyer color you see in the picture and the assembly def needs a power drill unless you want to be hurting.....also directions arent straight forward but if you know a thing or two about assembling furniture you should be fine! ... show more

I just finished putting this together. If you are capable to handle power tools and have a lot of patience you can put it together! I would recommend to take out all of the pieces ( even the screws, etc) and lay them out. The wood pieces do have a red number stamped on them (though some are hard to read). The screws, etc are NOT in order - figure out which is which before you start. The drawers/runners were the hardest thing to figure out - the directions on these were terrible. I had to do it a few different times to finally get it right. Happy with the final product! Very sturdy and looks good with my 44 inch TV. ... show more

Spent a loooong time looking at TV stands before I found one that looked sturdy but not too dark or heavy for my small apartment. Really liked the style of this one but wasn't sure what the color was going to be. The color matches the photo- lightish grey brown. Took longer the build than I expected, partially because my hands got tired from manually screwing in everything. Directions are pretty straight forward, just took a bit to figure out how to attach the drawer slides. I only have a 32in TV at the moment (planning on upgrading soon), but it seems sturdy enough for something larger. The drawers are not as deep as I expected (they don't extend to the top or bottom of the front pieces). A couple pieces were damaged in shipping, but it was an easy call to Monarch to get them replaced. I didn't have to pay anything and or return the damaged pieces. ... show more

Whatever you do, do not buy this item, unless you have 5-6 hours to spare putting piece by piece together. This is the worst piece of furniture I’ve bought off of Amazon. The diagrams in instructions were not clear and everything were in pieces. At least the shipper could have put the drawers together or give you something to start from. Smh ... show more

The color is spot on, the instructions are not awful. They definitely should have better pictures, but it looks great in our living room. It is sturdy and the drawers are nice, they fit perfectly and open and close nicely.

    • Came with a broken piece
This is a nice looking tv stand, but it arrived with one piece broke in half and one piece has a little bite mark to it. It took 3 hours to set up with my wife, I was able to work it out eventually. The glue that comes with it was dry, so you may want to buy your own glue plus you need tools since there wasn't any included. ... show more
