  • Perfect for chipped trim work
Style: 4mm
This chrome pen did a great job of touching up a few small chipped away pieces of interior chrome trim in my older 2011 Chevy Equinox. It was better than I expected. Just start with small amounts and go slowly.

  • Used as touch up for chipping PVD Chrome wheels.
Style: 2mm, Blister Carded
I bought this pen to touch up a PVD Chrome wheel on my car that I touched the curb with. It matches almost perfect. We'll see how long it lasts in car washes & Sunlight.

  • Might need a few coats for it to be chrome.
Style: Calligraphy Nib, 3mm
The media could not be loaded. The first layer has a slight shimmer to it but is not chrome. The second layer is more metallic but it still drys textured like those old grey watering cans. I haven't tested it on a black background yet hopefully that will help.

  • Great chrome paint
Style: 5mm
Very easy to use and the chrome paint that comes out of this pen looks great.

  • If airbrushing only buy this one but be warned
Style: Refill, 30ml
So I boght for airbrushing , I've also used the markers for both and this is way better. Get tons more and really don't and shouldn't thin it unless you are a1 proficient in what it reacts with . Used alcohol in pens and it would give me a lot more mileage I got to the end of this ajd added a few drops ajd it grayed all of the remainder of bottle. Spray heavy and keep tape one thibgs need one coat- 1-2 maybe 3 passes over the object for maximin chrome mirror effect- buy with alclaad gloss clear and wait 2-3 days or longer without touching or handling object at all other that to place in safe dust free area. Then clear it. But watch out you mess up this step or go to heavy on the clear it will dull and kill the chrome job- it's so glossy it's hard to tell- pictured above is a unsatisfied job I did- it looks good there but if you look at done detail spots you'll see some issues. When I took tape off after or even without an hour I'd get some ripples in spots so I found it was best to let it harden w tape on since it gets hard. But do not touch even after clear try not to touch. I had it satisfactory but I had a convention I'd planned for 1.5 years and had to wear it. And it got touched whcih had me (not) redo 3-4 times after. Don't think jut spray ajd look. Once you get what your looking for don't do anything walk away. You really can't fix a spot or do a coat later on - itl ready with current one due to alcohol. Same w markers in that regard . If you don't need mirror this absolutely is what u want if you want mirror this is you r only option until someone makes something better. will and have to buy again actually buying now. ... show more

  • Amazing product
Style: 4mm
There is a technique you need to learn for best results. I used it for interior automotive trim. Make sure your surface for application is clean from anything that will prevent adhesion or cause fisheye. You want the material to be in a smooth liquid state for best chrome effect. It may take more than one coat. ... show more

  • Molotow liquid chrome paint marker, 2mm
Style: 2mm
I have to say this paint marker is way beyond what I expected. I'm using it on model car kits where the seams need to be smoothed and glue joints. As with a paint marker, you need to shake it well before using. Then, depress the tip just until you see the paint flowing down. The part you are painting must be perfect before applying. All imperfections will show. Touch the marker to the part to be painted and let the paint flow. Do not depress the tip as the paint flows easily and depressing the tip will make the paint pool up. When the paint gets on the surface it has a metal-flake look to it but it quickly evens out and the metal-flake look disappears and transforms into a mirror-like finish. With it being paint, it needs to dry. Even after one day of drying, if the area is touched, it appeared to dull the shine a bit. I would assemble the parts first if possible then apply the chrome paint. Maybe a coat of Pledge high-gloss floor polish will "lock in" the shine. This paint has a much better shine than Bare Metal Foil. I used it on large areas like valve covers, show rod headers and other parts that were loose so I didn't have to worry about the paint flowing onto an area I didn't want. For small areas such as 1/24 or 1/25 trim, maybe a real steady hand and 1mm marker would work best. This is by far the best chrome replacement I've used. A bit pricey but worth the cost for an outstanding finish. It is acrylic so it cleans up with water, not thinner. UPDATE 10/16/2018: After using this paint marker to touch up chrome on one kit, the Monogram Boot Hill Express, in one day, apparently the marker has gone empty or dry, I don't know which. I didn't have that many parts to touch up and no large surfaces. One note, once you paint an area and it starts to dry, avoid touching that area again with the marker as it will damage it. Also, when using this marker paint the complete area that needs to be. If you paint an area, stop, and come back later to finish, you will see the difference in the overlap of the paint. I am still impressed with the final look of the painted parts but not with how long it lasts. Maybe I got one that was only 1/2 full, I don't know. For me, at a price of $11.00 each, it is too expensive for the amount of coverage and I probably won't buy it again. ... show more
