I couldn't find a journal similar to this one, no matter how hard I was trying. This is the PERFECT size for my pockets, and I love carrying it around with me. I decided that I would bring it with me as a reminder to disconnect from tech whenever I had free time that I could spend however I want, and every time I look at it, I feel the warmth that comes with awareness. It's so cute, so personal, so perfect... Never thought I'd get so emotional about a review, I swear I'm not a plant. Before paying the brand premium for this notebook, I tried another off-brand one and was disappointed by how thick and hard it was. But this Moleskine is great! As a daily carry for someone who needs to reference older notes than, say, a Field Notes can hold, it benefits from a few important features: - It's as thin as the Papermate Ink Joy pen I carry with it. - It's flexible enough to curve around my leg when in a front pocket. - Its leather-like cover handles normal wear and is flush with the page edges (meaning it doesn't catch on stuff when pocketing). - Its woven bookmark is soft and frays slowly. - Its elastic band can stay inside the back cover. I rarely need it. My only wish is that Moleskine would make one just a bit smaller, maybe 4.5" x 3"!

Moleskin is a quality product and I enjoy carrying this pocket notebook around. I love the red color which is my signature color. I have always looked for the perfect planner to carry around with me but most are too heavy and I usually abandon them within a few weeks. I taped in a monthly calendar in the back for my memory’s sake. I carry this in my purse or lunch bag pocket. I use a Pilot Energel .5 which shadows on the next page but it doesn’t distract too much. I like to use it to remember things God has done throughout the day and my prayer requests and how they are answered. Well worth the price.
