** Initial review: 4 stars ** (see updates below) I got this mattress in 10" queen in gray. I’ve had many memory-foam mattresses/“bed in a box” kits over the years. What appealed to me about this one was the price and that it’s fiberglass-free. UNPACKING IT Hubby and I opened the mattress at 4:00 pm and closely inspected it — no mold or dirt. Whew. Looked totally clean. I have allergies and am a STICKLER about clean mattresses. Had I seen a smudge of anything remotely suspect, I would have immediately returned it. I was horrified by the stories from other reviewers about finding mold (and then being told by the company that it was “just dirt” — equally unacceptable!), and honestly I was expecting the worst. Fortunately, to my great relief, the mattress was 100% clean. And believe me, I inspected every inch of the thing. As part of my inspection, I checked the stitching all the way around. I saw no open seams or loose threads. The zippers ran smoothly. There was no smell at all once we got it out of the packaging. Memory foam mattresses have a very recognizable odor (if you’ve had one, you know!) and usually off-gas for a few days. This one had a faint odor ONLY during the five minutes we were removing the plastic packaging. (And honestly, a lot of products do that if they’ve been cooped up in plastic wrap for a time.) It went away immediately. FIBERGLASS DOUBLE-CHECK I unzipped the cover a few inches — gingerly at first — to confirm that the mattress is indeed fiberglass-free, as advertised. Thank heavens! The slabs of foam are held together by a knit “sock” that clearly does not contain fiberglass because it is matte and has no shiny bits, nor did it shed any fibers. It appears to be a cotton-poly blend. See my attached photo. This means the cover is washable! (To be clear, I’m talking about the *zippered cover*, not the inner sock.) Although I don’t personally need to wash the cover — because I use an allergen-proof mattress encasement — I can see how at least having the option to wash it could be useful. HEIGHT We set the mattress on the bed frame, and two hours later, it had plumped up to 8". Twenty-four hours later, it had only plumped up to 9", and one of the corners by the footboard was still quite crumpled in appearance. At this point now (a week into it, at the time I’m writing this review), I’m not sure it will ever fully inflate to the stated 10". Not a huge deal, though, as I only ordered this mattress as an emergency stopgap until we can buy a nicer one locally. FIRMNESS Everyone’s perception will be different, but on a scale of 1-10 — where 1=plush and 10=firm — this mattress feels to me like a 7-8. It’s quite firm. I honestly wasn’t expecting this. All of my memory foam mattresses over the years have been as cushy as a cloud, so I (incorrectly!) assumed this would be too. Despite my reservations about its firmness, I have slept VERY well on it over the past week. No pain, zero complaints. I don’t normally go for firm mattresses, but I may be a convert now. LOL. FINAL THOUGHTS Overall this is an excellent mattress if you have a smaller budget and want to avoid the dreaded fiberglass sock. Despite its minor drawbacks, for the price, it’s a perfectly acceptable mattress. ** UPDATE, four days later ** The crumpled corner has corrected itself, but the mattress is still only 9" deep. ** UPDATE, two weeks later: Rating increased to 5 stars ** I changed the bed linens today and, for craps & cackles, measured the height of the mattress again. It’s at 10" now. I was shocked that it actually got there. I’m still loving the firmness and have been waking up blessedly pain-free. I’ve increased my rating to five stars. ** UPDATE, three months later ** I am IN LOVE with this mattress. I don’t think I’ll bother buying a different one locally, as this “stopgap” mattress has exceeded all my expectations. I noticed the manufacturer is now (in January 2023) offering more variations of this mattress than were available at my time of purchase. There are now “firm” options. Although I can’t say for sure, my best guess is that the mattress I received is what is now labeled as the “firm” variety, and they are selling a softer mattress slotted into the existing “10-inch” category. Why do I think this? Because I cannot imagine how a memory foam mattress could be MORE firm without either (1) defying the laws of chemistry & physics, or (2) being a slab of LITERAL STONE. If we end up ordering a new mattress for the guest room, I’ll report back and either confirm or refute this theory. In the meantime, may you have restful and pain-free sleep. ... show more

I was very hesitant about buying this bed at first, but after seeing all of the positive comments they definitely outweighed the negative. Where do I even start, for starters this bed is fiberglass free which is something that was truly important to me. Also this bed was going to be slept on everyday by me which was important for it to be what I was looking for. I wanted a bed more on the firmer side and it is just that!!! It’s not too hard but it’s firm enough to where I don’t sink too much. I am 5’7 and weigh about 150lbs. On my last bed I tossed and turned all night and always woke up hurting. After only ONE night on this bed I woke up with no pain and in the same position I went to bed in!!!!! I ordered the 12inch King size bed and it’s the best decision ever. Since I live on my own it was delivered to my door all I had to do was open it up let it rise for 36 hours and put it on my low profile base. (It was very Easy) I recommend this bed 1000% for the price it’s such great quality. I promise you all will not regret it. I am so happy and content with this purchase. ... show more

I bought the 12 inch bed about two weeks ago. My niece had suggested we try a foam mattress instead of a coil mattress. At first I was very hesitant but decided to give it a try. The price was amazing and we are on a tight budget another reason to try it out. A big concern was finding a mattress with no fiberglass in it. I checked the inflation yesterday but it appeared to measure 11 inches. When the mattress arrived I was impressed with the outer covering. It was very neat and clean looking. It looked well made. It took a little getting used to because I have always slept on a coil mattress. So far I really like it! I told my husband yesterday that my body cramps are gone. I used to have pain in my neck, my legs and my knees. All gone if not better!!! It really is worth checking out!!! ... show more

I saw a lot of reviews that said that these mattresses didn't fill out completely but this one looks and feels wonderful. I am using it on a daybed for visitors and for relaxing so i needed something that would sleep comfortably and hold up on a daybed. Can't give it a 5 star rating because I don't know how it sleeps for 8 hours but using it for a nap to check it out it felt great. Right now I am of the opinion that I would recommend this mattress to others and if I needed another one I would buy one of these. ... show more

Bought for a guest room so for infrequent use. It came on time, was packaged well, opened easily and expanded quickly. It is just shy of the 10” advertised. It’s a funny mix of firm to lie on but soft to penetrate, meaning if you put e knee in it to get on the bed, it feels like you go to the near bottom of it. When laying on it though, it feels fairly firm and supportive. Good mattress for the price, $259, and for infrequent use or lighter weight people for sure. Probably good for anyone for the money for a period of time, just not a ten year mattress but for this price, that’s expected. ... show more

Let’s get into this bed review. This bed came in actually a few days faster than stated, I loved that since I had just moved and sleeping on a couch with my lover was HORRID. Thank you, team! 🚚💨 The bed was rolled EXTREMELY air-tight, it was super interesting to watch the bed rise over the next few hours! The bed was nearly fully expanded within 5 hours which was insane. It has since been a week? Maybe a bit more. The bed sits at about 13inches, I guess I can’t really complain about a missing inch but take into consideration the price difference between a 12inch and a 14inch is about a $100+ difference lol, it’s alright though :) no real complaints from me. Now then- sleeping review😴 I love firm beds, and this one does sink you in slightly, but stays firm. I’d give this bed a 7-10 for firmness. I have bad back pain in the mornings, did this help? No lol. But I really do love the mattress. For the price, I highly recommend this bed :) hope you all enjoy it too ❤️ Sleep well! 💤 ... show more
