The part covering the screen is made of smooth, solid plastic, in a nice blue colour (the one I chose). The part covering most of my iPad’s body is made of rigid black plastic. I simply love this cover for its attractive design, practically and very strong ! Because of these attributes, the functionality is checked for all these boxes. Installation is easy peasy with no complications and when hold it in upright position, it is very stable and no issues if left in that position for a long time. Closure is excellent and very soft to carry the iPad! Great value 😊
