I used these to replace a pair of Audio Quest Legacy cables. I wasn’t expecting to hear a difference, but I did. Especially on the higher frequencies. I was frustrated thinking my amp, or preamp, or speakers were all dull sounding: Schiit Freya+ tube preamp, Schiit Vidar amp, Schiit Lokius EQ, Schiit Modi DAC, Marantz CD63SE, and Dynaudio Audience 82 speakers.     • You might want to get a longer cable? Runs shorter

Good quality and it’s worth the price point if you want reliable sound without any interference. However I received a shorter cable about a foot or two long and had to return it. I went with the 6ft version which was about 5feet long making it the perfect size for what I need it for.

Excellent sound quality and very we'll made cable. It took a good 24-48 hrs to break in a bit. It's a little richer than my Audioquest Diamondback, but that's subjective. Value wise when compared to my Diamondback, this is a definite winner. Good build quality. I used as a replacement for my blue jeans rca cable from Yamaha rx3080 to my emotiva amplifier. blue jeans is a very fine and good rca cable, but with this mogami XLR cable, I can hear the sound to be much more solid and fullness. The sound different is not a big different. A small small sound different. But this doesn’t mean taht the mogami cable is better than blue jeans since XLR is well known to be better than rca. But at least I know mogami is not a bad cable. Its not even a normal Average cable. It’s a good cable. ... show more

From MC cartridge to Phono-Preamp, my standard XLR was not good enough. After replacing it with this upgrade I was surprised and happy. For all other interconnects standard cables will suffice for me, but not in this sensitive situation.

I've bought the 2ft and 3ft over the last year. I sold the 2ft keeping the 3ft. If your system is revealing enough it's a big difference. The 3ft is made of a much thicker cable that has a much more effortless sound to it. I'm working on a new audio setup so I'll be buying another pair of 3ft cables. Highly recommended ... show more

Pluses: 3' Mogami Gold cable ($45) arrived next day, appropriately packed. It appears to be authentic. It works. Neutral: I can't hear any difference between it and the generic cable that it's replacing. That may be my problem, or the mixed quality of my current recording material. I didn't want to worry about connecting cables, so went with the brand name. No regrets. Negatives: The cable arrived in a plastic pouch, with no return address. Inside, in a generic plastic bag (essentially a "baggie") was a cable--nothing else. There was no retail packaging (shown on the amazon website), no invoice, no message from the seller, no description of the contents, no instruction on how to deal with any problems, no reference the Mogami warranty, no contact info for Zorro Sounds. In fact, Zorro Sounds' name doesn't appear anywhere. So just who is this seller, and how authentic is the cable? A well-produced rant accusing Zorro Sounds of deceptive practices can easily be found on YouTube. Bottom line: I would be giving five stars if I didn't have nagging doubts about the seller. After spending quite a bit of time informing myself about what Mogami looks like and how its made (printing on the cable, Neutrik connectors etc.) my best guess is that the cable is authentic, but that work shouldn't be necessary. Worst case is that I've substantially over-paid for a reasonably good cable. Shortly after my purchase, the seller's name changed to BDR Pro. Caveat Emptor. p.s. The cable is about 32" between connectors; including connectors, length is a bit over 36" ... show more
