I got this for my very patient 11 year old son who can typically put together the most complicated and largest sets of Legos in about 2-3 days - with lots of breaks. My son told me yesterday that he has met his match lol. This little car took him almost a week and lots of breaks each day because he was growing frustrated with some of the things. Just as an example, he would build a piece and then attach it to the rest, but then when he would try to move on to another part, that last part would detach completely. Maybe we got a dud but last night I ended up getting some glue from our local hobby shop to glue it all together. The other issue are the arms and just getting the car to switch to the robot, but STAY a robot without the arms flopping down and the torso part from locking in the wrong place. At the end of the day, would I still get this set for my son? Sure. He does like it and he's already put it on his display shelf; BUT....I'm not sure if I would pay $30+ for it.

Not nearly as easy to assemble as one would think, for a toy labeled 6+... but that is my only real complaint! Once you assemble this transformer, you can transform it from robot to car while still assembled. I thought as much while looking at the packaging, but doubted it somewhat. And something I was not at all expecting, when you pull it back in car mode, it will drive forward (spring-powered I think that is) when you let it go. All in all, a great little toy!
