It's actually so soft it's slippery. I love the color and am pretty happy with it. I haven't had to clean it so can't answer that yet. Happy with it and would recommend it for a inexpensive rug looks great.

I have had 3 of these now. They are soft, plush, they aren't too thick or thin - it's just enough to provide some comfort to your feet if you have mostly hardwood floors like we do. I have one (white) in our front room and one (black) in our kitchen where I seem to spend a lot of time standing... lol! I've had the purple/greyish one before as well and the color was beautiful and it was awesome. It's why I convinced the husband to stray away from those big home decor store rugs with all the crazy patters :) He loves them too. ... show more

I was looking for a plush rug for our hardwood floor that would make it more comfortable for our toddler. Yes this rug is extremely soft BUT it does shed and it is nearly impossible to clean. It is definitely not toddler proof, I'm sure it is very practical for a low traffic area or just for decoration. Anything that gets dropped on the rug almost instantly becomes entangled in it, it's easier to cut things out of it than vacuum. I wouldn't be giving it such a harsh review if it wasn't marketed for nursery use and regular living spaces. ... show more
