First - all the products that came in the kit are great. The light is decent, I can fit 4 fingers under at once. The brush is small but does the job. The gels are nice but more opaque than the pictures show. The instructions are very clear, and tell you step by step what to do. It’s definitely time consuming for a first timer, and I definitely have room to practice. But my first set turned out decent. I ordered an electric nail file on the side that was super helpful. Base coat - cure for 30-60 seconds. I did 45 and found it to be perfect. I did a pea size amount of polygel on the form, it worked for each finger except my thumb (needed just a smidge more). I did the full 90 second cure for the gel, on both sides. (Flip your hand to cure the bottom too, ensures it’s fully cured). Use the slip liquid to wipe the stickiness, and then again after filing (best way to clean the dust off before top coat) Cure top coat for 30 seconds. This was a perfect time for it. Definitely going to search for more colors, but overall; this is a fantastic starter kit! ... show more

Worked way better than I anticipated. This is my first set so a few imperfections but turned out great for a first try. Have had them on for over 2 weeks now. At first I felt frustrated because I had issues getting the right amount, but after many youtube & video tutorials I was able to figure it out. It was not perfect the 2nd time, but it looked really good considering I was a newbie. Nail quality is durable & strong, I had it on for 1 week before I took them off, but they lasted and held up to all the many tests. I recommend trying this is you have short nails & are looking to have longer nails DIY :) ... show more

Okay, are these cheap and worth the learning curve? Maybe. Is there a learning curve? Heck yes. Here’s some pros, cons and things I noticed. Pros -Everything is included, the little UV light thing works just fine, 30-60 seconds has them cured with no issues. It’s small but you can do all your nails at once if you curl them together kinda like a fist and just hold the UV thing over them. - I love that they can be longer than your natural nails! Easy one step length is awesome. My natural nails are super super short. - I did color 18(?) which looks natural on my nails and then with a brush added some of the sparkle one and they’re cute for a first try!! Totally doable even if nails aren’t your talent Cons - Sticky. Like really sticky. To the point that you cure it and still think it’s wet. If there’s a shred of dust or hair in your home, it will find you. Once you’re done and put the finishing coat on and wipe down with acetone, it’s no longer sticky. Best advice is have a very clean surface and don’t get up or do anything until ALL nails are done. No snacks, no pets, just nails. - My other major con is that it’s not super forgiving. I wish they came with clips to help hold them in place while you smooth out the under side. If you don’t own one of those electric file things, it can get clumpy under your nails if you don’t go real slow and take the time to smooth it out and there isn’t much you can do about it. - speaking of taking time, taking them off is a process. First file off the top coat (I did this by hand, no electric file for me) The soap/olive oil/acetone/warm water for 15 minutes and then 15 minutes in acetone makes them pretty much slide off but they do cause damage. 3 popped off by day 4 and removing them the “right” way still caused some damage. Over all, it was okay. Maybe a once in a while deal for me. The damage to my nails really turned me off of this product. ... show more

It is perfect for beginners for a nail set. It comes with a lot of colors, and it is easy to remove if you make a mistake. Sometimes adding too much gel can cause it to spill over, but other than that it is very easy!

This is an amazing product!!! and I really enjoyed this brand specifically and what it included. Some of the other reviews I saw said things like “the nails were left sticky” but you have to make sure to read the instructions because there is an inhibition layer that wipes off with the slip solution. The nails that I am doing on my first tries I think look better than the acrylics I have gotten at a salon and the money that I am able to save is amazing. ... show more

This was my first time doing my own poly gel nails so I’m not sure if it was beginner error or not. I watched countless hours of YouTube and TicTok videos on how to do poly gel and got brave enough to try it myself, this kit came highly recommended and was an affordable option for a first timer, I didn’t want to waste a ton of money if it didn’t work out. The instructions were clear, and the process was pretty simple. After a few practice nails my very patient and brave test subject (aka my bff) I mustered up the courage to do my own nails. I attempted an ombré look and with it being my first time I think I did ok, definitely not perfection but with a coat of glitter and a sheer light pink polish after they were decent enough to wear out in public. Again, probably beginner error but most of the nails broke off at the tips the next day. My biggest concern though was the fact that the skin around my nails was blistered and bleeding within 12 hours. I took extra care to ensure that I didn’t leave any poly gel on my skin before curing as I’ve heard that can cause a reaction, so I’m not sure what went wrong, but over a month later my nails and skin around my nails are finally almost healed. *the white stuff around my nail bed in the pic is dust from filing down the length of the nails. Nice kit but a lot harder that they make it out to be takes practice for sure and also can't get them to stay on . Mabe need to prime better. Idk. Still trying
