I’ve NEVER done nails before other than the kind that you glue on, so I was surprised my nails came out this good. I know they are NO where near perfect, but as a first timer, I’m satisfied. I don’t know what I did wrong on the underside that the nails came out so thick, but I ordered a nail dremmel to fix that tomorrow morning. I did order different nail forms because I didn’t like the kind that came with the kit. I wanted coffin nails. The pink gel I used is so pretty and natural looking. I’m in love with the color. I have a lot I can improve upon, but for now, this is pretty cool and I think a good place to start for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. I read the instructions and then watched a YouTube video and then off I went. I will say, I started off not using enough gel, so it didn’t look right. I just slapped a nail art sticker on it to cover my mistake and it is almost undetectable. So I suggest nail art stickers and jewels for beginners to hide their mistakes.😉 I will definitely be trying this until I get it right and I will be buying more colors. Love the opportunity to have cute nails that I didn’t go to the nail salon for. Those people always mess up my nails and I’m always disappointed.

Amazing quality for the price. Trust me when I say I can barely paint my nails without it being so ugly. I watched two YouTube videos on this and pictured is my results of my very first time. I’m going to buying this for gifts for all my friends I used to go get my nails done with. I’ll never go to a salon again. I can’t wait to get better practice and try more colors, plus designs with clear, etc.

I will start off by saying the lamp was much better than one I received by the same brand before. Really the only plus. Gel is hard to get out of the tube without making a mess. I tried gel on the nail and using the forms for applications. Neither one really seemed to work well. Gel didn't get evenly distributed. The colors were see thru. Process took about two hours. Two fingers and thumb have already came off, applied last night. Only reason I'm going with a two star and not a one is the lamp.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This was the most pain in the a** product ever! Very messy no matter what you did and the stickiness wouldn’t come off for nothing!! I used soap and water, 100% acetone, and the solution they provided! Took hours to get the stickiness off of everything

This was such a pleasant surprise! Yes, it took me a while to do both hands and there was a bit of a learning curve (and a few minor drawbacks), but for the price and amount of product this is a steal. Do note that I just did my nails today, so I'm still not sure of their longevity. Here are a few tips (and note that the attached picture was my first attempt with any kind of poly gel, so I hope to improve): 1) The base coat doesn't completely dry under the UV light. At first I thought this was an issue with my light, but it worked fine for the poly gel and top coat. I think maybe the base coat is supposed to be tacky to help the poly stick, but I'm not sure. Just a note! 2) It's easy to get a bit of an indent line around your cuticle from where the plastic mold sits, even if the brush is used around it prior to the UV light. I've found that, after curing, you can squeeze a bit more of the gel directly onto your nail at the base and pat it a bit in the areas that could be filled in, just like they'd do at a salon with powder gel or acrylic. Buffing the nail after you cure it again makes it so, with the top coat, it's just as shiny! 3) I noticed that the poly gel builds up easily behind your nail, especially the pinky (where it's more concentrated). Be sure to run the brush/slip solution over the back prior to curing. I just did these nails today, and a nail or two is super-thick from the back. I'm trying to figure out if I should re-do them or if there's another way I can chip away at the buildup. Ultimately, though, it's really not a big deal! 4) There is minor burning when curing the poly gel under UV, which I know from experience getting nail extensions in Asian salons (many of which, in China and Vietnam, use clear poly gel instead of powder or acrylic) that it's to be expected. I've never had a reaction previously, but I'm aware that others have. Just be aware of your skin sensitivities!

I bought this set for a Christmas gift for myself and I couldn't be more pleased. I had never used poly-gel or nail extensions, etc. before and this set made it easy. There was a slight learning curve for sure, I recommend watching several youtube videos and trying out the different methods other people use to find the one that suits you the best. Once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun and easy to do. My nails typically last 3ish weeks without much damage/wear and tear although I like changing them often so usually remove them before they NEED to be. I ordered the ModelOnes Matte Top Coat and Nude Pink Romantic set (shown on my nails currently) as well because I loved this starter kit so much! Absolutely recommend!!

So my thumb looks awful because I didn’t have a nail form large enough for my thumb and will be ordering for next time. But I am so in love with this product and sad I waited so long to try it. I will probably be ordering clips hold the nails in place while I continue to learn but not using the clips meant just being more gentle in the technique I used. The product is easy to add onto if I missed a spot and extremely durable. I had to cut a nail down and couldn’t how hard the poly gel became. The tiny light isn’t my favorite but def awesome for traveling in the future. I also love everything I needed to try to use This product was provided other than dehydrater for my nails. Def will be continuing to use this.
