I haven’t been doing dip manicures at home for a couple of years but for about 2 years I did them consistently. I received the opportunity to try this kit for my reviews through Stack Influence partnered with ModelOne. Decided on this color choice set and can say I was very impressed at the attention to detail and providing all basics you need (aside from prep chemicals like acetone or alcohol etc. obviously.) they even included two spare brush tops. I used shade 93 and absolutely love the look. I used the teal glitter first and didn’t do the best job since it had a couple of years. Even with not doing that great, they still lasted 10 days. I’m expecting this set to manage a good 14-18 days with normal wear and tear. I’m not super careful, I play piano, guitar, type all day, hand wash dishes, etc. All the things. So yeah, pretty good hold and excellent color choices for a <$40 investment! Not to mention HOW many sets you’ll get out of all these dips. I’m sure you’ll run out of base/activator/top and need a refill or two on those before you’ll even come close to using all the powders!😂 ... show more

Ok, I need to start by saying 2 things: 1) I am not a pro doing my own nails(not even closed), specially my right hand. 2) During the entire 2023, this is the 2nd time I get my nails done 🥹 I had too many thing going on to spend time on this. That being said, I think the outcome is amazing! I am really happy and excited for the way they look and how easy it was, way easier than gel… Obviously I think I will improve over the time, but so far, really good! I really loved this set, the colors are beautiful and for the price you're getting so much out of this kit! Comes with everything you need including a good quality steel scraper for removal, emery board, nail buff, powder brush, and clear instructions that walk you through each step. If you want to become self-sufficient at self-care, avoid the stuffy nail salons, overpriced services, avoid the wait times, and sometimes rude nail techs, this is your best bet. There is definitely a learning curve but I think 3-4 times of doing this on your own you'll become a pro. It's also very fun and actually took me a fraction of the time it typically takes at the nail salon and of course I was able to do it in the comfort of my own home, and watching the TV program of MY choice. I LOVE this liquid! I'm used to using Revel Nail. It's alright....but the bottles get so sticky to the point I cannot even open them. They stink and give me dip fever. These Modelones however are brilliant! No stink, no fever, they come with extra brushes and a bottle of brush saver! They lay on the nail really well and the top coat actually shines unlike what I am used too! Very impressed and cheaper than the so called "professional dip liquid" I'm used to buying! This was my first try after two weeks! Wears pretty good. Pretty easy to use however I did use an electric nail file with it to make the process easier. Definitely need to be careful with not getting on your skin or under your nail!

First I have to say I’m sad to even be here giving a three star review because I was super impressed initially and had SUCH high hopes. In general, this kit seemed great! Came with all the tools and extras that are needed to do a nice manicure. There are a lot of color options and I found everything to be pretty easy to work with. After doing my nails the first time I was so excited. The process was easy, directions were simple and they turned out so nicely. Then about 3 days after doing my first attempt I noticed some cracking. Those small tiny little cracks that are okay for a bit but then start to completely chip. I thought “hmmm it has to be me. Maybe I did something wrong, or I filed too much.. or I didn’t give enough dry time in between” so, I removed them and did another set. Again, beautiful, easy to work with and I loved them. 3-4 days later, same issue… wash and repeat that cycle 2 more times, each time Thinking it’s something I was doing so I was trying to follow dry times and directions to a T. I didn’t drummel on the top like they do at the nail salon to smooth it, I did everything right, yet still (pics above of the most recent and current situation) the same Situation. I did these on Monday 9/18 and I noticed these cracks yesterday on Thursday 9/21. I am just bummed. Because while I’d like to keep buying from this company and I like most of the products and such.. either their powder or the polishes used in the process are not of good quality. I used a different brand of a friends one time awhile ago and did not have this issue.. so with that, after trying four separate times, and the fact I’m a social worker who is often on the go but it’s not like I do manual labor constantly or have my hands in water etc I know it’s the product and not me. It’s super frustrating because while it’s a pretty quick process, it still takes an hr or so and having to redo the nails every 4-5 days is opposite of the whole reason I started doing my own nails in the first place. So I’ll definitely have to start looking at other products in the near future :( ... show more
