At first, I was afraid that I was gonna screw up the repair process, but I stayed VERY CAREFUL, and with enough perseverance and determination, I successfully repaired and replaced my speakers. I played some music on it and it works excellent! == Sound quality is amazing, I can hear my laptop from a room away. Easy to install and they sound really good! To think i was considering buying a new laptop when all i needed was a $20 speaker repair set. One note, I did have to re-seat the connection on the right speaker. The first time i connected it, it had very low volume. After re-seating the cable connection it is equal in volume to the left speaker. Great value and a silving lining is while i had it opened up i got to clean out all the dust that accumulated in the laptop over the years. ... show more

Speakers are easy to replace (with a quick YouTube search) and fit with no issues. Sound quality is noticeably less compared to the OEM speakers but for the price and ease of replacement, it is worth the purchase.

One of the 2 speakers slowly failed, then totally went out. These new speakers sound great. It was easy to replace both speakers (took less than 20 min) with the included tools and watching a Youtube video. Computer is ready to go for the next 9 years! haha

First of all before considering this product, watch a YouTube video on replacing theses speakers and determine if this is within your capabilities. If I'm honest, if you've ever opened an electronic device and a decently detail oriented with screws, I think you'll be fine. As far as the speakers, when I replaced them, they sound good. It's hard to tell or remember if they're better than the oem but hey you're speakers aren't working right? If they are working and you're thinking this is an upgrade, I don't think they are. Overall easy install and they sound great afterwards. They allow me to squeeze more life out of my 2014 macbook pro. ... show more

Been a year since my laptop speakers starting crackling for even a slightly high volume. Almost after a year, I mustered the courage to go ahead and change them myself. I was able to get them replaced in around 15 mins, that too because i was being extra cautious with the tiny screws on the MBP. Sounds is not MBP quality but its hardly noticeable. ... show more

At this price point, one might not want to get their hopes up. The speakers work, but the volume is roughly 60% when compared to the originals, frequency response parameters and tonal reproduction quality are also not very good compared to the originals. (Yes, speakers need a break-in period in order to loosen up, but trying to squeeze any more out of these speakers would be a waste of time, imo. (Disclosure: I've been doing deep-dive hardware repairs on virtually all Apple products for over 20 years and my recommendation would be that if you can source OEM speakers for your MacBook Pro 15" Retina, I'd suggest you go that route, should (far) better sound quality be your goal. Something else to consider . . . there are myriad inexpensive, small and quite portable, rechargeable bluetooth speakers that sound so much better than even the original speakers your MacBook Pro had fresh out of the box. ... show more
