Well, it takes very long to get the heat to the temp for melting gold or other metals, took about 45/50 minutes also the white material inside was broken on arrival,should have return but cannot find the box.

The product does what it says it will do... but not very well. When I received the product, there was packing foam all over it. And, the heating element in the middle was off center. I had to disassemble the product to re-align the heating core with the metal surface. When it gets to 1800 degrees, it starts to melt the heat resistance surface on the lid which puts ash into the molten metal. It gets really "furry" in the crucible and any pour that I do has ash in the metal making it less than ideal. It also trip any GFCI circuit that we use. There must be some short or a grounding in the device somewhere. I'm curious if replacing it with a different unit would be any better... or if it's just a poorly made product.
