Ok. So some complain it’s slow. Well, it’s not gas so yeah it takes a minute. They actually tell you the time in the description. Truthfully, it is a little slower. It reach’s temp in that time but it takes another 15-20 minutes for the crucible and the metal to reach temp. Pretty logical right? Aluminum, Zinc, and Zamak2 (zinc-based pewter) it handles easily. Unsure on copper and bronze as I don’t have any on hand. Would suggest getting a spare crucible early on!

This product did what I needed it to. Getting the temp up to melt copper on a GFCI outlet will trip it, but otherwise it will easily reach 1970°F. If you don't need something at temps that high, you're good. If you do need temps that high, use a better circuit or alloy it. The extra products included are great, though you may need to resize the gloves yourself. Good materials though; supple leather, excellent crucible, the tongs made for the crucible were another reason I purchased this product. At the time of purchase, this was the cheapest option and the only problems I have are my hands and my circuitry.

The heat indicator shows 4 zeros and I have asked many times what is wrong and never get an answer. Very poor customer service. It's not worth the money.

Works good I think the temp gauge is off and it doesn't come with a manual to problem solve some stuff like calibration.

It worked well for a few sessions. After that the element burnt up and had to be replaced. I also just ordered a thermo coupler to replace the original. Besides having to replace parts Sooooooo early after purchase it works great.
