I picked up the Mkeke clear case for the iPhone 17 6.3 inch and it’s been a great everyday case so far. The first thing I noticed was how clear it actually is. Some clear cases have a slight tint right out of the box, but this one looks clean and really shows off the phone’s color. It doesn’t feel flimsy either. The back is solid and the bumper around the edges feels sturdy without making the phone bulky. Buttons are easy to press and still have a nice click to them. The cutouts for the speakers and charging port line up perfectly. It also has a small raised lip around the screen and camera, which gives a little extra peace of mind when setting the phone down. It feels secure in the hand and doesn’t slide around too much. I’ve already had a minor drop onto hardwood and the phone was completely fine. The case didn’t pop off or crack. If you want something simple that protects your phone without hiding it, this is a solid option. First Impressions: Clean Packaging and Perfect Fit The Mkeke clear case comes in minimalist, professional packaging with the case neatly protected inside. I was excited to get this case for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max, and right from the unboxing it made a great impression. The packaging was clean and simple – a sturdy little box with an illustration of the case on the front and Mkeke branding. Inside, the clear case was wrapped in a protective sleeve, ensuring it arrived scratch-free and pristine. It only took seconds to snap the case onto my phone, and it clicked right into place with a snug, perfect fit. There are absolutely no loose edges or gaps; it feels like it was custom-molded for the 16 Pro Max. Even the camera and port cutouts align exactly with the phone’s features. My first thought was that the case looked crystal clear and well-made, and it immediately gave my phone a sleek look while promising solid protection. Excellent Protection with Shock-Absorbing Design Once it was on, I could tell my phone was well protected without being overly bulky. Mkeke advertises military-grade drop protection for this case, and I can see why – each corner has a reinforced air-cushion bumper that acts like a tiny airbag for your phone. I haven’t done any intentional drop tests (and don’t plan to!), but I did accidentally knock my phone off the couch onto a hardwood floor, and it survived without a scratch or dent. The case’s edges have a subtle raised lip around both the screen and the camera module. This means when I set my phone face-down or rest it on its back, the screen and lenses never touch the table. That raised edge design is a huge plus, preventing unnecessary scratches on the display or camera. Overall, the protection this clear case offers exceeds my expectations – it manages to absorb shocks and shield the phone from daily hazards while still feeling fairly slim and lightweight. I feel peace of mind knowing my iPhone is safely encased against drops or bumps in this case. Strong Grip and Clear Aesthetic The crystal-clear Mkeke case shows off the iPhone’s design while providing a comfortable, non-slip grip. One thing I immediately noticed in daily use is the strong grip this case provides. The material has a slightly grippy, non-slip feel – far better than the slippery bare phone or some smooth plastic cases I’ve used before. Walking around, I always feel secure holding my 16 Pro Max with this case; it hasn’t slid out of my hand or pocket at all. Despite having this added grip and protection, the case is impressively crystal clear. It shows off my iPhone’s design and color perfectly, almost like there’s no case on at all. I love that I can see the Apple logo and the phone’s beautiful finish through the clear TPU/polycarbonate material. Friends actually commented that the phone still looks great even with the case, which isn’t always true for bulky cases. The case also doesn’t seem to attract fingerprints easily – the back stays pretty clear and smooth, maintaining that clean look. Mkeke says it uses anti-yellowing material, and so far (after some weeks of use) I see zero yellowing or clouding. It still looks as transparent as day one, which is fantastic since nothing ruins the look of a clear case like that ugly yellow tint. Another bonus is that the case doesn’t add much bulk or weight. My iPhone 16 Pro Max is a big phone, but this slim case keeps it pocket-friendly and comfortable to use one-handed. The design is just a great balance of being slim, grippy, and clear, so you get protection without sacrificing the phone’s aesthetics. Responsive Button Covers and Easy Access The Mkeke clear case also shines in terms of usability and phone access. All the cutouts and button covers are extremely well-designed and precise. The side buttons (power and volume) are covered by the case, but you wouldn’t even notice because they are highly responsive. A gentle press is all that’s needed – the tactile feedback is almost as clicky as the naked buttons. This was a relief, since some cases make you press really hard. Here, every button push registers perfectly, and I don’t have to change how I use my phone at all. The mute/silent switch cutout is just the right size as well; I can easily flip the switch with my fingertip without digging or using my nails. On the bottom, the speaker grilles and charging port openings are perfectly aligned. I can plug in my Lightning cable without any obstruction, even my slightly thicker third-party charger fits fine through the port cutout. The case’s fit around the charging port and speakers is snug but doesn’t block or muffle anything. I also tested wireless charging with my Qi charger at home: the phone charges seamlessly through the case. I just set it on the pad and it starts charging like normal, so there’s no need to remove the case to wirelessly charge. (Note: this particular Mkeke case isn’t a MagSafe magnetic case, but I expected that – and my standard wireless charger still works great with it on). Overall, the case gives full access to every feature of the phone without compromise. It’s clear the designers paid attention to these little details, and it makes using the phone with the case on an effortless experience. In terms of quality and value, I am thoroughly impressed. The case feels sturdy and durable in hand – there’s nothing flimsy about it. After weeks of use, it hasn’t stretched out, and none of the edges have warped or cracked. It actually feels like a premium case that could have cost twice as much at an electronics store. Given its affordable price point, the value here is outstanding: I feel like I got top-tier protection and style for a very reasonable cost. In fact, I was so happy with my Mkeke clear case that I ended up buying a second one for my dad. He also has a large iPhone and needed a good case, and after seeing how well mine performed, it was a no-brainer to get one for him. (He loves it too – his feedback was that the fit is perfect and it makes his phone feel safe to use). Knowing that I trusted this case enough to purchase it again for a family member says a lot about its reliability. To sum it up, the Mkeke Clear Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max has proven to be a fantastic purchase. I bought clear as I have the Orange iPhone 17 pro max. Why cover that nice looking orange with an opaque cover? It fits perfectly. I has great cushion, especially at the corners. It feels great (tactile grip) in my hand which the naked phone does not (quite slippery for me.) The phone still charges with the wireless charger on my nightstand. I don't have a mag-safe charger to try. It does not come with screen protection -which I have found unnecessary with the newer phone screens (gorilla glass or others.) I've seen others complain about yellowing, but I have had this less than a week and cannot speak to that. Overall it is a great value and provides just what I wanted. ... show more
