These socks fit so well and are extremely comfortable. They are not cotton so your feet breathe. They aren’t too thick or too thin. The stripes are trendy and fun. Best of all, they will not sink down in your shoes and be annoying. This was not a paid review so if you are in the fence, just get them. You’ll be glad you did.

I love these but they were too tight. I wear a woman’s size 8.5 and i purposely looked for men’s socks because I didn’t want them to be too tight.. From what I read these looked like men’s but in person they look like women’s. I ordered a Medium and they are too tight. I love how thin they are though bc I live in Florida and you can’t wear heavy socks here. Will return and try to get a large.

The title of the product indicates These are cotton athletic socks. Naturally, I assumed these are the classic 80's striped crew socks I've been looking for. The pictures seem to back this up. To their credit, in the description it does read "Cotton 70%, Polyester 28%. Spandex 2%". But what does that mean when it comes to socks? I mean, a sock is a sock, right? A thick cotton tube you slap onto your feet. Well, no, that's not what your getting here. This is almost exactly a LINER SOCK. If you aren't aware of what that is, it's a super thin, slick-materialed sock intended to be worn underneath you actual socks. I have used them for years on long backpacking trips to avoid blisters and other potential foot damage.. The only difference is these have stripes on them. How thin can they be? I can literally see my veins pushing through them. Even after tightening my shoe laces, there is now much more room in my shoes to slide around. Which wouldn't be such a big issue IF --- these socks weren't also "slick, slippery, sheer". Now you're sliding around all over in your shoes. If I were to play a serious game of any sport while wearing these, 60% chance of twisting a knee or ankle. And they are tight. Though I have big feet, proportionally, my calves are on the average/small side. These things really sqeeze tight where they end right at mid-shin/bottom of gastrocnemius. The good? They appear well-made for what they are. Even if they are liner socks in disguise, the price would be good for that. And they have stripes.

The socks are a nice, thick quality but not so thick that it'd be uncomfortable to wear with sneakers or running shoes. I think the sizing needs to be explained better though because if you're a women's shoe size 8-8.5, you may want to get the Medium even though the description limits Medium to women's shoe size 7. I got the Large based on this but the Ls are a bit loose/big in the heel. They're still wearable so I won't exchange them and maybe they'll shrink in the wash.
