I was desperately looking for cute socks that were also practical for these cold winter months. Most of the socks I found were anklets or low crew socks that looked really thin, fine for warmer weather but not for the cold. I had already bought three pairs of booties from the Hudson Baby line and was thrilled with the quality so I took a chance with their sock line. I'm so glad I did! Because this review shows up on all styles of Hudson Baby socks, I'll clarify that I purchased the lot of "Fox" socks, for 12-24 months old for my 8 month old grandson. They have a different fabric mix than some of the other socks they sell. It makes a difference, trust me. These socks are wonderful for chubby little feet. Thick, stretchy, and with room to grow. I love the length of the leg part because I can pull them up to keep the baby's legs warm or fold down the tops during warmer weather. There's enough give for chubby legs so they don't pinch off the circulation. They've been washed several times and have kept their color and fit. I will be buying them again. A minor complaint: not all styles come in all sizes. I'm looking to buy additional socks but the supply is so limited I may have to purchase the same set again. Don't let that stop you from buying some of the nicest warm baby socks ever! ... show more

Okay, I barely write reviews, but had to for these. I HATE using baby socks. You lose them everywhere. 5 in 1 trip to the grocery store, in the bed, everywhere. It's impossible to keep baby socks on baby feet. I have 6 kids and resorted to only footie pajamas for the first year of life because socks will not stay on their feet. I had to buy these for my little fall Oregon baby because well, it's cold here. I had already come to terms with the realization that this 8 pack would probably arrive already half gone because, well...... Baby socks. Can't keep them. I was wrong! They were all here upon arrival. I put a pair on my wiggly 8 week old and...... They..... Stayed ON her feet! I forgot they were on her feet when I pit her down for a nap.... She woke up with BOTH SOCKS STILL ON HER FEET! Both! I took them off because they had to be cutting off her circulation if they were able to stay on through her wiggly sleep. No, no they weren't, they barely left a sign that she was even wearing any. These socks are magic socks! They stay on even when wiggles is wiggling, juggling and jumping around and they or he no marks. They must be magic socks! They are amazing! Get these socks! These socks are cute, cozy, stretchy. They stay stretchy and never fall off! They feel thick enough to be warm in home, but could use other shoes or slippers for cold outdoor weather. They have been fitting and staying on my baby even when too small for her feet (I have more in the cart that will actually be her size) but her newborn ones are still working well! They wash well without pilling or deterioration too. - update: I got the bigger size and they are still amazing ... show more
