Bought last year, played through three seasons of ball and had zero issues. Warranty ended two months ago and the padding inside the helmet has started coming unglued. We purchased this set as an upgrade for our taller than average 10 year old daughter. After wearing out a Rawlings starter set to prove she was serious about being a catcher we finally decided it was time for a serious set. What my husband likes most about this set is how solid it is built. The chest protector has a lot more padding than our previous set and my daughter prefers the fit of is over the last set. The part that stands out to my husband is the coverage/protection provided at the knees and thighs. These shin guards go up above the knee more than our last set and the layers around the knee provide much better protection. My favorite part are the straps that go underneath her cleats. It really helps prevent the leg guards from shifting all over the place which was a huge issue with our last set. This set is well worth the money. ... show more

My 13 YO has had this gear for a little over a year and it has worked well and has been comfortable. Our biggest complaint is that the helmet padding keeps coming out requiring us to glue the pieces back in constantly. The forehead padding fell out in the middle of a game recently requiring us to use someone else’s helmet… I also understand that it’s not easy to find replacement padding. ... show more
