These laminating sheets are very thick and strong. There is a noticeable difference between 3 mil and 5 mil, but I think these might be a little stronger than other 5 mil sheets I have used. My sheets went through the laminator without any problems and came out nice and clear and smooth.

Our first impression of these laminating pouches was the weight of the package. We're used to much lighter weight laminating products, but we're needing to laminate some signage that needs to be weather, temperature, and human-proof. Our test (see photo) was using a card stock greeting card. Our laminator, a standard desktop one, semi sealed the pouch on the first run through. It took 3 more passes through to create what we would consider to be a durable seal. If we were wanting to create a large number of signs, this would probably be tedious, but for a limited number of signs that will last years we're quite happy with the product. Value - at aprox twenty cents per sign, this beats much higher prices at the local print shop. ... show more

This laminating, paper or packets or whatever you wanna call them are great fantastic clarity I like how strong they feel. It feels nice and thick. I’m actually use them to essentially make like business cards almost for a small business and one of the main reasons why I got it was too laminate coloring pictures for my kids so that they become reusable and these are perfect for that. This is a good product. It has a slightly sticky grip to it that helps center the material to be laminated and keep it in place through the process. It goes through the laminator nicely, and even when the edges run up against the laminator, it curls up, and unfolds perfectly as it comes out without creasing. The 5mm is sturdy and clear, and seals nicely around the edges as expected. It feels more professional than the 3mm. ... show more

We compared this to the set of laminating pouches that came with our laminator, and this is clearer and thicker. Our first attempt resulted in a small wavy spot about mid-way through the page, and I'm not sure what to make of that. For now I'm going to assume it was a fluke or a user error. I didn't realize this was 5mil, and not 3mil laminating paper but it's a nice improvement to my diy notebook dividers and covers. They're a bit stiffer which makes them feel almost as nice as some name brand planners I've bought. Almost. My small laminating machine can handle 5mil but just barely, three pages had a few bubbles but it's due to my machine most likely. I used a clothes iron to manually seal the sheets. I still have to work out the heat and my technique, but the sheets are crystal clear and thick once sealed.

I recently ordered the 100-pack of the 5mil laminating pouches. I was immediately surprised at how heavy this box is. I pulled a pouch out and wow, these are a great thickness.
