I purchased the stainless steel pole only (already had a bracket). I am really happy with this purchase. The whole stainless steel flag is a very pretty shiny silver color that is well made. The top (finial) on the pole is also very pretty, shiny silver stainless steel and has three bands at the base of it. I really like how they designed this pole for easy assembly. It comes in about 5 pieces that you very easily screw together universally (any piece fits any other piece). I also like how the flag attaches to the pole. The pole has two carabiner clips to hook into the two grommets that are on most flags. Each of those carabiner clips are attached to a plastic ring that spins freely around the pole to keep the flag from twisting around the pole. Those plastic rings come with a screw attached, that you use to tighten the plastic ring to the flag pole to keep it in the right vertical position to match the width of your flag. The pole also comes with instructions to tell you how to assemble it and attach the flag. I took a photo so you can see how pretty this pole is and how the flag hangs from it. As a big bonus, this flag pole was supposed to arrive after Memorial Day but Amazon delivered it on Sunday evening just in time for Memorial Day so I was able to use it for Memorial Day!! Thank you Amazon for doing that for me!! I am very happy with this flag pole and do recommend it. UPDATE: After several days hanging, the flag did get wrapped around the pole a bit. But the swivel feature meant that I could reach up and give the fabric part of the flag a gentle pull, the hooks rotated around easily, and the flag straightened back out again, without me having to get a step stool, take the pole down and unwrap the flag around and around. It’s not a guarantee no tangle swivel, but it does keep the flag from getting twisted as often as it would without the swivel claps. The media could not be loaded. Initial review after a couple of days of use: pros: Very easy to assemble and mount the flag Looks great! Nice and shiny feels pretty solid, and so far has held up to mild wind lightweight 3 year warranty! cons: swivel mounts aren't perfect - the plastic ring has some friction - in can bind and cause the flag to tangle in windy conditions. swivel mounts are tightened with a large wing-type screw. this looks like it can also catch the flag, though I haven't seen it personally. possible solutions: maybe a bit of grease (white lithium) on the rings and some Allen screws to replace the wing screws. overall impression: I like it. It's easy to use, light enough to move around and mount, and looks very good. I will update this periodically throughout the warranty period. Note that my initial review is starting at 4 stars overall so that I can move the review up or down depending on how well the pole holds up. Update: after watching it get tangled a couple of times I loosened the lower mount and slid it a bit closer to the top. The flag isn't as tight, but the tangle free rings seem to work better.

The media could not be loaded. This replaced a warped wooden pole with a twisted and torn American flag. It was simple to assemble, seems sturdy, and I love that it has real carabiners, not those pesky little clips that pinch fingers and break fingernails. My only complaints, which are minor, are that the top ornament is plastic, and that the segment that goes into the bracket isn’t closed at the bottom end. It’s sharp around the opening, and could cut someone. I have read reviews that say flags get twisted around the pole. I discovered that this happens only if 1) the flag is stretched too tight, which keeps the ring from spinning; and 2) if the carabiners are hanging wrong. There should be about an inch of play between the top and bottom of the flag. And the carabiners should have the narrow ends in the spinner rings, with the flag hanging with the wide parts of the carabiners in the grommets. When I first hung it, it was too tight, and the top carabiner was upside down. As a result, the flag wrapped around the pole in about a minute. After I adjusted it (which it does NOT explain in the directions), it flips freely over and around the pole in the wind. You can see this in the first 10 seconds or so of the video.

STOP RIGHT THERE! Sorry, But the reviews on here must be premature. Every pole we installed (No matter what we tried) allowed our brand new flags to tangle in a matter of hours. These are NOT tangle free in any sense of the imagination. Aside from that the poles come in sections that you snap together. They are flimsy and can easily separate over time with constant wind. I see all the reviews on here which made me jump the gun on these. We returned all 9 and purchased the poles that spin instead of cheap plastic collars that are supposed to spin, But obviously often don't. (SEE PICS!)

This is a beautiful set and is the first time I purchased a flag with grommets instead of a sleeve. In the past I have come home to find my flag tangled or facing down because the pole wasn't strong and would bend. Living by the water, I needed something strong and this is it. When putting the flag on, make sure not to have it taut....give it a little slack. If it's too tight it will prevent the flag clips from turning. I am very satisfied with the flag set, the price, delivery speed and customer service who contacted me making sure I was happy with my purchase.
