This would be a nice gift for a beginning artist. The easel seems to be durable and easy to use. The kit includes the basics for mixed media art: both acrylic and watercolor paints, colored pencils, drawing pencils, a palette knife, paint-mixing palette, a variety of brushes, a canvas board, pad of drawing paper and a pad of watercolor paper. I would not describe the art supplies in this kit "professional" quality; they're more beginner or student-grade supplies. For example, the watercolor paper is not 100% cotton, which is what a professional would use. It's a fair value for the money, and a fair set for a beginner who wants to give painting a try. If they progress as a painter, I predict they'd move on to better-quality paints, brushes, and paper, but continue using the easel. In my opinion it's the best part of this set.

This mixed media art kit would make for a great gift for an aspiring young artist. It has nearly everything needed for someone just getting into art, with a set each of watercolor and acrylic paints with brushes, drawing supplies with two pencils, an eraser and a pencil sharpener, a set of colored pencils, one plastic palette and palette knife, one canvas board, and a pad each of sketch paper and watercolor paper. The centerpiece of the collection is the portable wooden tabletop easel, along with its box and two inner plastic trays to store and organize one’s supplies. It’s a well-made albeit as expected basic desktop or travel easel. It required minimal assembly, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The height is adjustable for various sized art pads or canvases, and the box itself is lightweight for easy carrying. The plastic trays are divided into sections to help keep the supplies separate and organized even during transport. I will note that this box with both trays in place is not designed to hold or carry palettes larger than the small plastic ones that are included. Since I like a larger palette when painting, I would just find a suitably sized container with a lid and carry that separately. The art pads are both classroom / beginner grade with thin paper, but for fine for practice or for someone who is just learning. The acrylics paint set includes black and white along with ten colors that for the most part approximated what I would expect for a beginning palette: for example, I would have chosen cerulean blue and either ultramarine or phthalo blue rather than both of the latter. I have no quibbles with the selection of colors in the watercolor set. The quality of both sets of paint and the pencils were all good student grade. If I was giving it to someone just starting out, I would add at least one more plastic palette, so that there would be one each for watercolor and acrylic paint, and a package of assorted sizes of canvas boards. Really, this is a very nice beginners art kit and a comparable value to other similar kits.

I ordered the Mixed Media Art Set from Artbreezing for 2 reasons: 1) I needed a versatile, adjustable wooden art case with easel to hold art supplies that I can take to class and where ever I need to draw or paint. 2) I already use Artbreezing acrylic paints. I want to retain color integrity and texture consistency of the paints I use. The high quality paints and well made, gorgeous easel case is all I needed and well worth the cost of the set. The additional art supplies are simply icing on the cake. The only items I need to complete my art class supplies is gesso, matte and gloss varnishes, gel medium and acrylic retardant.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a nice little travel art set! It's made well and a good value for everything included. The quality of the paint and brushes is very nice. Setting up the easel is a bit tedious. In order to paint and then carry, you have to take apart the bolts each time. So you can't just quickly close and move on, it takes about 5-10 minutes. The trays do hold a lot of supplies though so it has enough capacity to carry anything you need to make a beautiful piece! Very nice for traveling!
