This is a good value for a lot of seed trays. They have larger openings than the bigger 36 or 72 cell trays, which means seedlings can comfortably stay in the trays until they're a little larger, and the trays can be moved around very easily without folding and collapsing. I love these little trays for seed starting! I would recommend them for anyone who wants a head start of getting their gardens set up with little mess and easy watering. They are super durable and easy to get set up, and watering them is so simple. They're good for at least a few years (probably upwards of 5 if you take care of them), which isn't bad at all considering the price and material. My only issue comes from the removal of the plugs once you are ready to transplant. It's easy to do as long as you do it correctly (gently squeezing the sides and basically slowly wiggling the plant out), but if you do it incorrectly the tray is relatively easy to damage and make future plant removal pretty difficult. I ordered these to start my seedlings in. They worked really good. I really loved the vented top. That was great for keeping the seedlings dirt moist and warm. I also liked the fact that the bottom tray and the compartment tray were separate. The only issue I had with them is that I kept them in my portable green house and if it was really hot outside or they were in direct sunlight, they did melt. I mean that could be my fault, but that is a good fact to know. That won’t deter me from ordering again next Spring. ... show more

Excellent choice for starting seeds. I like how you can bottom water with these. They are sturdy enough to last a few seasons. I just clean them in the sink with some hot soapy water and let them dry completely before storing them in the basement. These are also great for small houseplant propagations, which I do often! I have only used two of the trays, but so far, I am happy with them! Most of it looks sturdy, though I question the cell tray's sturdiness and durability. I will update the review after I have used this more. The cell tray is bendable between the cells, which allows it to be lifted slightly to refill the bottom tray with water or to see how much water is in the tray. Because of the bendability, I have a slight question about durability, but I will find out over time. The cell tray has a hole in the bottom of each cell so that the soil can soak up the water from the bottom tray. Instead of watering each cell, one needs to ensure that water is in the bottom tray! With the humidity dome on, you can quickly tell it works with the water condensation! I have not tried starting seeds in it, but that will occur in the next few months. I would repurchase this if I ever need more seed-starting trays! ... show more

I bought these a while back (late 2021 or early 2022). I started some seeds and some of them germinated and some didnt. The design makes it easy for mold to grow so be sure to use a mold inhibitor on your soil. The trays are cheap thin plastic and get easily rumpled and crushed when you try to remove the plants. Use a table knife or a thin metal spatula like for cake frosting or oil painting to loosen the olug/seedling for easier removal. The bottom trays are pretty sturdy, as are the tops. I would improve the design by making the part with the sections in it out of thicker plastic that's still flexible, like a soda bottle. Right now they're only as thick as a cheap water bottle. After two seasons of using them I'm ready to spend a lot more money on something that can be reused for years. I'll probably keep the top and bottom of these and use those little peat pellets in them instead of the sectioned part. ... show more

I purchased this for some corms and tissue culture plants that I have and i wanted to make sure that they have optimal humidity to grow roots and new leaves. I like that you can place multiple seedlings, corms, tc in this tray. It was easy to assemble and its working so far. I do get a bit of mold here and there but I just open the dial and let some air in (It can be user error as I am still learning how to grow things). It isn't the most sturdiest containment but it working for now and getting the job done for the most part. ... show more
