  • Miuwauer Lawn Aerator Shoes
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
I’ve just finished using my Miuwauer Lawn Aerator shoes (the upgrade, aluminum alloy version) for the first time. I had to figure out how to secure my sneaker feet in them, turns out the reason everyone recommends work boots isn’t that they hurt with softer shoes. A larger, more robust shoe will be easier to secure in the canvas and Velcro straps. That said, I had no trouble tightening them up (despite my little shoes!) and getting to work! Our ground is soft from spring rains so the sturdy metal spikes had little trouble sinking into the dirt cleanly. Once I got the gait down it really was as easy as taking a walk around the yard! A rather fun walk since I kept my steps close together to maximize aeration, I’m sure I amused a neighbor or two but I was laughing at myself and unbothered!! The shoes seem very sturdy in all components and did their job well. I didn’t need the included wrench this time as all spikes were well tightened but it’s nice to know if I do need to tighten them I have the right size wrench on hand. The included spade was handy and necessary to clean the shoes after use, they picked up clods and leaves but the spade cleared those quickly. If you have a small yard or smaller area to aerate I definitely recommend these shoes as an easy method. I plan to wear them while mowing this summer to keep my lawn heathy in the easiest way possible! ... show more

  • Work great, 1-1/4” depth aeration.
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
These come already assembled and the miniature shovel is nice. I have clay soil here in SE Texas so aeration is always a chore. I’ve tried these in dry conditions, wet and in between. They hold up well. Each shoe provides about 1-1/4” hole depth which is decent, but for clay it needs to be deeper. Easy to do while walking around the yard doing other tasks. Everything has stayed tight and the quality build is there. I just hose them off when I’m done and hang them up to dry. Doesn’t exactly meet the need that I have for my situation, but is far better than nothing at all and even better than renting a mechanical aerator or paying for a service imo. ... show more

  • They are okay
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
Obviously, these little spikes aren't going to do the same type of work that a hollow core aerator would do, but it's better than nothing. The spikes are very durable and a little longer than other models I found online. I wear a size 12 shoe and I was barely about to get straps around my yard work shoes, and one of the metal rings ended up breaking during use. ... show more

  • Would recommend!
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
These lawn aerator shoes actually work way better than I expected! Once you get the straps tightened right, they stay on pretty well. It’s a bit of a leg workout, but kind of satisfying to walk around and know you’re helping your lawn at the same time. The spikes are solid and dig in deep. Great budget-friendly way to aerate without renting equipment! ... show more

  • Unique Idea
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
I thought this item was a unique idea in that I could just walk around to aerate my yard. These spikes strap on your shoes very comfortably. Walking on them takes a little getting used to and you have to watch out for larger tree roots. However, it is a very convenient way to aerate your yard.

  • Learning curve to use
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
When I first started to use these they were very difficult to walk in. After a few minutes it became easier and I learned that you have to bend your knees in a way that you normally wouldn’t when just walking. The spikes are strong and reasonably sharp. The structure is durable. These did a pretty good job of loosening up the soil, I’d say it was better than the machines that take plugs out. The grass was disturbed more but it has recovered quickly. ... show more

  • They fit and they work
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
These aerator shoes do the job they were designed to do but make sure you have one secured before trying on the other just in case a strap comes loose while putting one on, like mine did, so you will a sample of how the straps fold. I suggest using them while mowing the lawn so you get two things done at once rather than looking a little strange walking over your lawn. It does take a little time to get used to the walking pattern needed but once that is conquered it is off to the races (and your quads will get a work out too). I tried these after a hard rain and yes some leaves and a slight bit of soil stuck to the bottom, but was easily cleaned off later. These help with having to cover a large area without the effort required with the push-in type. Over all these "shoes" get the job done with only a slight problem with the straps for me. ... show more

  • Fit well on boots up to Men's 12
Material Type: Upgrade Version (Aluminum Alloy ... Color: Green-Black
My husband used these today working in the yard on his day off, and they seem to work well. They didn't slide off his boots, but definitely would not work for smaller shoes or flip-flops like he initially tried, lol. They definitely poke little holes in the sod and dirt to help it be aerated, and would also be useful for seeding and fertilizing the yard. He seems quite pleased with them, and he isn't terribly easy to please with things like this. ... show more
