These curtains are velvet and so soft! I love the hooks in that back, they make the curtains look high-end because you can't see the rod. The color is great and they are excellent at blocking out light. They are a thick material and well made.

Every morning when I open up these curtain I am taken aback by their quality and luxurious feel. Super soft and pleasant to touch. They also have a great weight to them. They are not blackout but that wasn’t one of my expectations, they block about 80% of the light. I will be retuning them only because the olive green color is not as I expected. The product images convey a much deeper richer olive green (see image for reference and mine as comparison). These are a bit lighter and more vibrant. These curtains are wonderful. The velvet looks decadent and they feel like thick, quality material. I love the loop options as well. They are not totally black out, which was perfect for me since that’s not what I was looking for. I would said they are 75% light blocking. Since they come folded, they are somewhat wrinkled but I have just let the wrinkles naturally fall on their own. Would definitely recommend these! ... show more

I work the graveyard shift so I need blackout drapes in my bedroom to sleep during the day. Pros: 1. These drapes while not 100% light blocking do a very adequate job and the room is dark enough for me to sleep 2.. The curtains were very wrinkled (as expected) on arrival but they easily smooth out when ironed on a low to medium heat setting. The material is soft to touch and drapes well (after ironing) 3. There are multiple options on how to hang the curtains (which I love) 4. They look nice in my room 5. Price point wasn’t to high (price was discounted at the time I purchased) Cons: 1. Not completely light blocking 2. The material is cheap (even for price point) and “velvet-ish” not velvet as advertised Not sure I would buy these again if it was not discounted. But overall they do a good job at light blocking and have more pros than cons (imo) so I would recommend the product ... show more
