These shoes are true to size. I bought them for a trip to Ireland. They are a great all weather shoe for dry and wet days. They also grip the ground to prevent slips and allow kids to climb. My son wears them to school on hot days and while his feet do get sweaty, they are still very comfortable for him. We plan to go skiing this winter and these should hold up great. I’ve washed them and they held up well. I will definitely keep buying this brand when he outgrows this size.

These boots were purchased in February of 2021 and I have worn them a great deal. I teach preschool and spend most of the day on my feet and walking. I probably wore them at least 2-3 days/week each year from November thru April. I wear a size 3.5 and weigh approximately 110-120 lbs. The treads are still in fairly good shape as shown in the photo and there are no tears or cracks. I keep the elastic cord fastened and use only the Velcro closure get them on and off. I do not consider them "Hiking Boots" and I do not wear them if there is more than a light snow cover on the ground. Water will enter the fabric areas but my feet have never really gotten wet wearing them. I am currently interested in buying another pair in a different color but the newer reviews have me concerned that the quality has diminished.

Bought for my 4 year-old’s first camping trip and she loved them! She said they were comfy and stayed in them the whole trip. They protected her feet and ankles well and are made sturdy.

These are perfect for my 6yo... Re: Size True to size. I debated sizing up so she could wear them longer, but per REÍ, etc., hiking boots should fit snug to prevent the feet from sliding and causing blisters, etc. So, we went with her current sneaker size and these shoes are pretty much exactly the same size. My daughter picked the super girly colors of course and loved them! Re: price, etc. We also debated getting her the more expensive Merrells, since we do moderate hikes about 3-4 times a month, but decided on these given they are considerably cheaper...and since we know she’ll outgrow them. We’re in SoCal, so don’t really need “waterproof” boots, and haven’t tested that yet... Review post first use: They are lightweight, but sturdy and my daughter said comfortable (even on her first use). We did a moderate hike with lots of loose dirt and rocks, including some steep sections- my daughter did great in them! Previously she’d used her Nike’s, which caused her to slip and slide all over the place- needing more assistance on hard sections of trails, these boots absolutely helped! She did very well and had zero complaints at the end of the hike. They also cleaned up nicely. Summary- worth it for a little explorer! Good price for a kids boot, especially if on a budget. Get the kid’s current shoe size.

Great bang for your buck. Got these for my 7 year old son to use for hiking this month. He loved the colors and I loved the quality of material they're made from. Wish they had these in adult sizes.

The media could not be loaded. I did not expect these shoes to be this great! We hike a couple times a week. This video is after a few months of wearing these shoes and they are going strong! Rock climbing, running down the trails, walking on slippery rocks, my kid's feet are stable and safe. Will repurchase forever in other sizes.
