    • Looks OK but gets mirror rot after a few years

The mirror looks OK out of the box. The one odd think about it is that they chose to use very high color temp LEDs (6000K) in the unit. This generally does not mesh well with normal home decor. Not sure why they made this choice. You can change out the LED's yourself but of course this is a hassle. My main complaint with mirror is that it has started to get mirror rot (i.e. black spots) along the mirror edges after three years. I did some research and it turns out this will happen to a mirror that is place into a humid environment if the edges are not sealed. These mirrors are commonly used in bathrooms so you would think the manufacturer would apply this edge coating for your, but they don't. So now I have a $550 mirror that has black spots around the edges. There are no easy remedies for this problem. Getting it fixed looks like it could be more expensive than buying a new unit. It is obnoxious that the manufacture is selling a product that they know will self destruct in its typical application environment. ... show more

We were skeptical about ordering an expensive mirror on line, but it arrived earlier than expected and was very well packaged. We had a GC install the mirror as part of upgrading our bathroom vanity area. It is just as we hoped a large unique mirror with the LED lights. The mirror picks up the wall paint colors which gives the mirror a integrated look. The light is good enough for me, but the wife sometimes turns the overhead can LEDs on when she gets ready to go out. As part of our bathroom upgrade, it now feels like a 5-Star hotel bathroom. Very happy with this awesome mirror and the seller. It came packaged in a crate that could be thrown off a cliff and not damage the mirror. I contacted the seller with a question during installation, and got an almost immediate reply. The instructions were a bit vague and the photos blurry, but anyone handy can figure them out. Overall, the installation was very easy and quick. You will need an electrician to hard wire it in and install the wall switch, unless you already have a wall light and are going to replace it with this LED mirror. The light it gives off is beautiful, bright and easy on your eyes. I shopped around for an LED mirror after using them to shave in NYC and Las Vegas hotels. I found that you can spend two, three or even four times more for the exact same mirror from other manufacturers of LED mirrors, but you will not get a better product. ... show more

I looked at other mirrors on Amazon that were less expensive with free shipping but I decided to go with this one which cost a bit more with a considerable shipping charge and I'm glad I did! The package came packed in a heavy wooden crate that I was barely able to lift into the back of my truck by myself. Totally worth the cost! The mirror arrived undamaged and in perfect condition. This was an expensive mirror so I was worried about how this project was going to go. The mirror showed up in a crate and was very well packaged. Upon opening it I could not locate any sort of instruction at all, and hence the reason for 4 stars. I located a video on the internet and watched it for the installation. The shipping packaging is phenomenal and I can't believe it's FREE!! It kept my mirror perfect!! Love it!! Just completed a bathroom refresh. I did not install it, I had it done professionally and it seemed to go up without a hitch. This mirror is beautiful!! Looking into the mirror there is plenty of light. However it is not enough light to completely illuminate the entire bathroom. We will be adding an additional light in the ceiling to fix that. Well made mirror. Bought 2 of them. Shipping cost is high but when I received them, it was understandable. They were in wooden crates with plenty of foam protection. Last thing anyone wants is to receive a cracked or chipped mirror delaying their remodelling projects. LEDs works from an AC to 12VDC converter mounted behind the mirror. I picked this model because it seems to have the lowest profile. Didn't want one that protrudes too far from the wall. Definitely adds luxury to any bathroom. ... show more

Super well packaged. Well engineered in that you mount the frame and hang the mirror on it. The mount brackets are fixed which makes it challenging to put the screws into studs. The light illuminates well for up-close use, but it does not illuminate the room well. Depending on your wiring, you may need to use a junction box to meet code.
