The case does a good job protecting your phone if it falls. However, the feel of the case is slippery to hold. I chose the chocolate color which is much darker than the picture shown. This accounts for why I deducted a star.

Have you every thought to yourself: "I wish I could see exactly how much lint is in my pocket," or, "I sometimes stare into my car's cupholder with utter disgust and I want a way to carry around that feeling with me everywhere I go," or, "I'm not carrying enough cat hair with me on my clothes, I wish there was a way I could do it with my phone too." Then I HIGHLY recommend this case to you. I ordered this case because of its non-slip potential, and it does that amazingly well. So well, in fact, that it attracts every piece of lint and hair within its close proximity. If you have issues with texture, you're just going to love picking up this phone with a bunch of hair stuck to the back of it. It's also an epic struggle to get this phone in and out of your pants pocket. Though I want to state that I wear women's clothes so my pockets are not appropriately sized for ANYTHING, individuals who wear men's pants may not experience this problem. The color and fit of the case on my phone are superb, and it also seems to provide some shock absorbent properties. The shock absorbency is pretty handy considering the number of times I've accidentally drop-kicked my phone while trying to unravel one of my long hairs from around the case. I know I shed like a husky, but I don't need it constantly thrown in my face. The photos show how much lint this thing collected in my freshly washed jeans' pocket just from being placed in there for a few seconds to illustrate what I mean. This phone case makes me feel like I exist in a miasma of lint, cat hair, and human hair like a middle-aged cat lady version of Pig-Pen from the Peanuts gang. So in summary: SUPER durable AWESOME color and fit EXCEPTIONALLY non-slip COLLECTS more lint and hair than the lint trap on my dryer ... show more

I like the slim no-frills simple look of this case, it's easy to get on and off the phone, and it feels like it would provide decent protection against bumps and drops. And it feels pretty good in the hand. Unless it was recently put down on any surface that is dusty or gritty-- as others have remarked it picks up every bit of dust and hair it encounters, in pockets or elsewhere. Also, can be hard to slip into or out of pocket. If not for the excess stiction, I'd give it five stars. ... show more

Update 17-Aug-22: just received the new one so I can compare the new with the old-the new case seems much more slippery than the old one. Not sure if it is a combination of oil from hands, wear and tear. But I do remember the first one I bought was also like this. Still love it and still happy with it. I ordered the case over a year and a half ago and it has held up great. I have dropped my phone multiple times since and this cover, in combination with a screen protector, has kept my phone looking almost brand new. I am ordering another one as there is a little tear that just recently developed at one of the bottom corners. I read some other reviews which mentioned the phone cover collects dust and is hard to get in and out of places (purses, pocket) - this is true. The case looks good but it slides when you don’t want it to and grips when you don’t want it to. It won’t slide smoothly into your pocket, it grips. But it slide off of anything at an angle

I bought this as a gift for an older friend to protect her iPhone from damage if dropped. It works and fits like a charm. The bright color makes it easy to find the phone. The case has already saved the phone from a couple of drops. It does just what we needed it to do. Very pleased.
