It drains my battery after using it 5 times. So I put a switch on it and now i get 8 times even when it's down I turn the power off. And when it's up I turn it off. My old style 2 stage never did this.

So far so good! I guide about 120 days a year and this anchor works great. Only downside is no paddle like the power poles to slow you down.

I had one for 3 years and had to get it repaired 2 times. The third time it broke, I threw it in the garbage. They are very complicated internally so that they are hard to repair yourself. Every time it needs to be repaired, when not under warranty, it runs close to $1000. They just don't hold up and the cabling comes apart way to easily. I would opt for a power pole next time.
