I do not recommend this brand shallow water anchor. Engineering didn't account for 10 ft anchor design using inadequate aluminum arms how this effects the units performance. I installed my 10 ft version on a CS 24 hybrid. Looks great and I was excited to use it. In shallow water 3 ft give or take depth the pin hits the bottom and stops. With light current and light wind the boat drifts causing a twist on the two aluminum arms. (These are mated together with several plastic hinges.) This twist in arms causes a loss in rigidity of the verticle spike. The twist shortens the distance from ground to arms thus causes the spike to loose pressure and now the Raptor unit senses loss of bottom hold so now the unit lowres arm to compensate but this only magnifies the problem because the arms twist more and more until the spike is laying in a 30 degree angle because how bent it is. It wouldn't matter left or right it always bends and it's embarrassing. The other brand I see always standing straight. I contacted Minn Kota and after a week I was told I need to turn sensitivity down. I researched and found how to in the app. This didn't help. It just took a little more twist on arms before hydraulics were activated. Then when sensitivity is on 10 the unit stops in drop about half way and started acting glitching. This was obviously not going to hold the boat. I'm past my return date but if I had it to do over again I would not listen to the hoax commercials about active anchoring because it's obvious the frames were under-built.
