This kit is a great introduction to fashion design! My daughter is a bit intimidated by sewing/needles but loves art and putting outfits together. This is a perfect way for her to get comfortable cutting out patterns, draping, etc. Pros: comes with most of what you'd need to get started! The accessories and fabrics included are really cute, and my daughter immediately gravitated toward the sheer, sparkly materials. I love that it includes pattern pieces so she can start to see how clothes are actually made. This is already sparking her creativity and she's super excited to play. Price-wise, this is a fantastic deal. At the time of this review there is a coupon that makes the whole kit ~$15! Amazing! Cons: hardly any, but I did notice when unboxing that the seal was broken, and it was missing the instruction manual (and maybe one plastic needle). This is not a big deal, although since we are relatively new to making doll clothes, we will need to find a tutorial. The best things in this kit are the little mannequins (they are approximately Barbie-sized!) because she can use these with any materials in the future, and she's already incorporated them into her doll playing time. One of the Barbies is now a seamstress and owns a boutique where her creations are displayed on the dress forms. Highly recommend! ... show more
