This a capable compact projector perfect for family movie night out in the backyard. After taking a chance on a previous Wimius projector at the beginning of the pandemic for outdoor movies, I decided to look for a new projector with updated features. Getting another Wimius wasn’t a hard decision to make since the last was such a great value. It is a noticeable decrease in size compared with my previous projector so portability seems to be the main focus of this projector. The included case is a backpack which also suggests portability is the focus. Despite the small size, the unit still packs a bunch of features. There is 5Ghz Wi-Fi and 5.2 bluetooth which means you can connect to everything without the need to carry additional wires with you. I successfully casted my android phone and desktop without the need for any additional apps/programs. Setup was simple- just connect the projector to your home Wi-Fi network, select your input, and connect your device to the projector. The only pain was switching between letters/numbers and not being able to move left/right or top/down to move to the opposite side of the keyboard for the Wi-Fi password, but once you connect, you shouldn’t have to touch it. Of course, if you don’t want to cast, you can always connect any device to the projector via HDMI- tested with Steam Deck and laptop and both worked fine. Adjusting the focus, keystone correction, and zoom were all very easy. This can be done within the settings menu and the instructions were simple to follow. (Quick mention- there is a remote controller and there is really nothing to complain about; ie buttons are in accessible locations and not too crowded). Again, the ease of adjustability means you can take the projector anywhere and start using it within a few minutes of setup. Once all the initial setup was done, it was time to test it out. Quality-wise, the projector outputs at 1080p and picture is bright. Even with some ambient light, the display was still vibrant. If you want to fill a 100” screen, you will need to setup about 10ft away. Sound quality is as expected from a projector. There are stereo speakers that will get loud enough for a small group of people outside or fill a small room, but really, you’ll probably want to connect a set of Bluetooth speakers (note: you can also connect via two 3.5mm ports for speakers or headphones – I did not test). The fan noise was not noticeable with normal volume level. One minor inconvenience is that the power plugs into the side of the projector rather than the back where all the other ports are located; this does increase footprint slightly, but it’s not a major negative for me. To sum up, if you are in the market for an affordable portable projector with lots of connectivity and adjustment features that won’t break the bank, the projector is a good choice. I’m very satisfied with this portable projector that I purchased and am surprised by how versatile it is. It is small and lightweight, with excellent picture quality compared to a previous projector I owned. So far I have used the projector in different settings mainly for video gaming and for watching movies & sports in my living room. The picture quality is sharp at 1080p and the colors are vibrant. I’ve tried projecting the image onto a projector screen and also directly on the wall, and the image quality is great. I’d recommend using this in a darker room and turning off all the lights to get the best image. The sound quality is actually much better than I expected it to be from the projectors stereo speakers even though I still connect my own Bluetooth soundbar to amplify the sound even louder. The projector is very lightweight which makes it easy for me to carry from room to room, and setup is a breeze once you connect the projector to your home Wi-Fi. It has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability as well and I’m looking forward to using it more to connect directly with my cell phone to stream content without always having to attach separate cables. It’s a really great value especially since it comes with a remote and handy case. So far I’ve played video games and watched several movies on it, letting it run for many hours continuously and it has performed well without overheating. Sometimes it does take a bit of time to adjust the keystone settings to get the picture just right, but it’s not that complicated to figure out with trial and error. I really don’t think you can find a better deal for a projector at this price. I’m considering buying an extra one of these to use for travel and business meetings. The media could not be loaded. I have recently purchased this Wimius Mini projector, and I must say I made the best decision. This mini smart projector delivers stunning Full HD 1080P resolution and we can install apps like Netflix, Youtube, Prime etc.. and it has the compatibility with HDMI and USB to use a wide range of devices, making it a fantastic addition to any home theater setup. The best thing about this projector is Picture quality and sleek design and battery backup. It's incredibly easy to set up, and within minutes, I had it connected to my smartphone, laptop, and even my TV box. The multiple connectivity options, including HDMI, USB, Airplay make it a versatile choice for various media sources. The portability of this projector is made even better. It'll run for more than 2 hours with a single charge and you can attach it to a power bank when it charges out. We do outdoor camping and travel most of the time and this projector is top in the must carry things list. When it comes to picture clarity, This projector delivers stunning clarity and brightness, even in well-lit rooms. It's perfect for movie nights with friends and family, and the built-in speaker delivers clear audio.
