TLDR: Pros: Price Cons: Fit Finish and general quality Early Review: Arrived in a crate and one of the mounting bolts was over torqued or cross threaded and could not be removed. the bolt head sheared and even a pair of locking pliers could not remove the remaining stem. it will have to be drilled out. Tail stock was lose and sliding around but did not appear to cause any damage Overall fit and finish are poor. over spray has paint on the ways ( see pictures). Lots of burs on the castings not ground off. labels are poorly applied. 3 jaw chuck out of the box runs 5-6 thousands out of true as measured on the outside of the chuck. I'm not sure how well it runs true on the part as I currently don't have any precession ground stock to measure against. included tool holder is trash but I plan on replacing it soon with a quick change. a decent amount of backlash is present in the dials and the main left right position dial moves the cross slide far more than id like ( I will likely make a gear reduction for this) overall it looks like this was built with QC second/thirds for the various Sieg type clones. it will likely require disassembly cleaning & using stripper to remove excess paint at a minimum. likely will have to add some new bearings and mods to make the machine more precise. If you don't mind a lot of work it can be turned into a very fine machine with a couple days work and and extra 50-100 in parts to tighten up the tolerances. ( out of the box 3-3.5 star a few minor upgrades and it will be a 4-4.5 likely. manufacturer just skimped on parts and QC) ... show more
