But, it's also a super cool mini-arcade cabinet! All my friends/visitors who see it are drawn to it, and want to try it! Fun retro game system, quality components - crisp bright LCD display.     • Don't expect too much. But it is better than I expected.

I have used other handheld devices with multiple games before and they were terrible. This is the first one I have used that actually felt decent, usable and of any quality. It is very small all considered. That makes the joystick a bit tough to work well, the buttons are not easy to label and the screen can be a challenge to read. However, most of the games are actually the real games or at least decent facimilies of the real game. Battletoads and Final Fight for instance play very simiarly to the original. On a tiny screen, the expereince is lacking, but it is what it is. I love that it works off a rechargable battery and can be plugged in to charge. It has lasted well. For the price, I think it is a great novelty! Will it replace an arcade system? No. Will it scratch the itch and kill some time on a road trip? Absolutely! Enjoy! ... show more

It came with the main arcade unit, a USB A to USB mini power cable, manual, and a 3.5mm to RCA mono audio / video out cable. The arcade unit can be powered either by a USB wall power brick or by batteries (neither is included). The game unit has 156 different games ranging from 1980's games up to more modern titles. It is quite impressive how many games have been crammed and emulated in this one unit. It can be a bit challenging to play some of the games if you've got big hands but it is totally doable. I haven't yet connected it to a TV to see how it looks but I suspect it'll look as expected, old school. A great gift for any videogame enthusiast or collector. 5 stars. This mini arcade game is awesome! I love the retro design! The screen is bright and colorful, and all the buttons are very responsive. It comes with a charging cable and a battery pack inside, and you can also use 3 AA batteries. It has a ton of super fun games to play for everyone and there were no duplicates. My whole family love it and play with it all the time. My son also likes to use it as decor on his computer desk when we're not playing it. The only issue I've had with it is that sometimes when we're playing on it the screen goes black or has lines through it. Also it will make a weird static sound, so we have to turn it off and back on. It happened a lot when we first got it, but it's getting better, only happens so often. ( I put a pic to show what the screen does sometimes) Overall for the price I'm satisfied and glad I got it. I would recommend to anyone who loves to play old school games. ... show more

At this point, emulators now let us play every game imaginable on the tiniest of screens. "Classic" arcade games don't take up a lot of memory, so if you're willing to look the other way on copyrights (which these consoles uniformly do), then you can pretty much put any game you want on any device of any size. Which is how we got this little arcade cabinet. With 156 games built-in, it provides a wide range of options, including sports, education, action, and puzzles. The device also supports TV connection through an AV cable (but good luck finding a TV that supports it). The screen and speaker on this little arcade are far better than I expected. The volume dial is a little hard to find, but once you actually find it (it on the side to the right of the screen) its fine. For the most part the controls are okay, but if you’re looking to master any combos or special moves on the fighting games you may disappointed. It has a huge selection of games, most of which seem to work fine, though the device does seem to glitch out at random and boot you back to the default menu. This is great for a blast from the past. The sound is good, and the buttons are usable. It is a mini arcade machine after all. I found the screen to be a bit blurry. It might have to do with CRT screens making these games look better and newer screens make it look more blocky. First off, I should say that this isn't going to have "arcade classics" per say. They will all be Sega emulated games...but that's not a bad thing as some of these WERE in the arcades or adapted from the arcade to the home console. The display is nice and crisp, controls seemed very responsive, and it looks so awesome on the desk. The only complaint I really have is that you can't hold it as comfortably as say a controller...and this should be self-evident from the way it's laid out. This comes into play mostly when you're trying to move your characters around and the screen gets moved along with your inputs. But you can get around this by hooking it up on your TV with an AV cable (you'll probably need an AV-HDMI adapter in the mix). Oh, and the top of the "cabinet" also lights up to give it that arcade machine look. As long as you know what you're actually getting (e.g., a Sega console), I would highly recommend picking this up. ... show more

This is a super cool little handheld. Has a ton of games on it. Lots of the old Sega and Capcom games. It's super load and then i found the volume button. It can connect to the TV through the AV port (cable included) if you're so inclined. It ran for a long time on a charge, I played it for an hour or so straight. I took off one star because my big hands have a hard time with the buttons, especially the joystick. I have an easier time with the flatter directional controls. Kids loved it though ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This has RCA out like it's 1996. You probably are going to need an adapter for that. I don't think any TVs come with RCA in anymore. The controls are a little weird. I mean, it a tiny arcade cabinet. It can be a bit difficult to hold comfortably. The screen looks surprisingly nice. It's clear and crisp and the colors pop. The games run well. I never had any problems messing around. There's no way to save your state. Most, if not all, of these games don't have a save feature anyway, but it would be nice if it included a save state feature like some emulators do. There are at least a couple of games that are not in English thrown in there. Twinkle Tale is definitely not in English. I guess they are still playable, as long as you just skip every bit of text. Battery life seems pretty good, but there's no battery meter. You charge it via micro USB. If the flat pack battery dies, you can just use regular AAs. Overall, it's fun. A little kid would probably have fun with it. My hands end up hurting when I try to use it though. ... show more

Even with 100+ games I was unfamiliar with most of them. It's definitely small and hard to use the controls as a grown up. Kids loved it but they made a comment that most of the games were about fighting. I'm glad it comes with a way to connect it to a TV but we haven't tried that yet. After a good days use the joystick feels a bit loose. I'm not sure if that could be a source of weakness or if it was just a bit stiff initially. ... show more
