I was upset that printer was not working correctly and I reached out to support through email and FB groups and many did give helpful advice but nothing worked. I then left a 1star review over frustration with the printer not working. Then Leo from Amazon contacted me through messenger and although took a few with our schedules so different with time zone, was finally able to fix the issues with the printer and now I will leave 10 ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.Leo went over and beyond to help me. Thank you for caring and understanding when I made the mistake and switched it from 115 to 230 when I thought I switched it from 230 to 115 and trust me it matters if reside in US. The printer will not work properly if on 230 voltage. I do apologize and appreciate the help I received. ... show more

Trate de imprimir muchas veces con esta impresora, uso el programa Cura pero por mas q trate de cambiar los settings y todo nl logre que tuviera una impresion linda le di 70 grados a la cama y aun asi se llevo las piezas… no la recomiendo

    • Frustrating but good
Pros: easy set up, took less than 15 mins. Easy install, bendable bed, touchscreen, and came with a free rabbit print. Also it's pretty quiet doesn't disturb anyone. Cons: prints are not smooth, leveling keeps needing to be adjusted, filament seeps out on its own sometimes, prints do not come out the way we expect. Ok, so after we set everything up and did the rabbit print, the rabbit came out perfect. It held all the detail and was smooth but none of the other prints we have tried has these and results. We've attempted 10 different prints so far and the only time it comes out smooth and perfect is with the rabbit. We've tried adjusting the nozzle/ bed temperature. We've gone through repeatedly leveling steps and the babystep bc for some reason it won't print in the center is we don't. All in all this would be a great machine if we could just get it to print correctly. It does print but these items are coming out jagged, rough, and the details are blended instead of seperated. ... show more

The Mingda Magician X2 is an easy-to-use 3D printer with nice form and finish. It has everything a good printer needs to make it easy to use – simple assembly, an easy to load direct drive and reliable auto bed leveling system.

    • Mixed Comments So far
The Pros: Easy to put together and it seems sturdy enough. There are a couple of good installation videos on YouTube. The touch screen is nice. I'm getting good quality prints so far. Adheasion is great. And the printer is VERY quiet. Also, my Proterface app is able to talk to the printer, so I'm not stuck with using the SD card to load prints. The Cons: After assembly, the screen would not light up. Luckily, I found a vid on YouTube that showed how the connector and cable from the display has a tendency to fall off the mainboard during shipping. In my case, the connector wasn't fully seated on the mainboard. I removed the back of the printer and reseated it (which fixed the problem), but it's dissappointing that this seems like a common issue. Second, the screws holding the cable to the back of the heated bed don't grip. The holes they screw into are totally stripped (I didn't do this, it arrived this way). Fortunately, there isn't a lot of stress on this connection, and gravity holds the screws in place, so I don't think this will be a problem. Third, the USB-C jack is positioned too far back from the front panel. I only fould one USB-C plug that would actually make contact (just barely). I'm going to try using the USB-A port after I get the right cable. Finally, a personal beef, I am probably one of the few people that still has a computer that is 32 bit Windows. Mingda provides a Cura slicer with the printer, but it is 64 bit only. I have a 32 bit version of Prusaslicer, but it doesn't currently support Mingda printers. So for now, I have to do slicing on another computer in another room. I could really use a good tutorial on how to set this printer up in PrusaSlicer. I'll provide more updates as I do more testing. Update: Testing continues to go well. In addition, Mingna Support reached out to help resolve several of my issues, expecially with the 32 bit PrusaSlicer. Therefore, I am changing my review from 3 stars to 4. More updates in the future. ... show more
