...the bottom straps are not long enough to reach the wheels and there's no where to hook on my wheel-well; I had to add bungee straps to it to reach my wheels. Even without using the bottom straps though, the mirror straps holds the cover nice and taut. It hasn't snowed here yet, but once it does and I find out how effective this cover is, I will update this review.

I think this cover can be useful in keeping the windshield of several kinds of cars fairly clear of ice and snow. But sorry to say, I think there are just too many issues for me to use it except to give it a shot in extreme circumstances. Winter hasn’t come yet to the Mid-Atlantic states, so I can only report on putting this cover on, and how I think it will work if the snow and ice were blowing. The first thing to say is that maybe with repeated use putting it on my car would become easier, but the first time it took a lot of adjustments to position the cover properly left to right and top to bottom. It would be easier as a 2-person effort. Second, it seems to me that their order of installation is wrong. If you first loop the loops around the side mirrors as they indicate, there is a lot of stretching when you open the door to put the anti-theft flaps between the door and the car frame. I think you need to position the top edge at the proper height and close the doors on the flaps first to ensure the top edge stays at the right height before looping the side mirrors. The anti-theft flaps, which you close the door on, function as much more than that – they are the only things that will help keep the top edge flat against the windshield. It is not clear how well they can do this job from the sides – I suspect that snow or ice could accumulate some under the cover if the wind is blowing pretty strongly from the rear of the car and gets under the top of the cover. Some design comments: I consider my car (2016 Subaru Outback) a fairly wide car. If you have a narrower car you will need to close a much longer amount of the cover under the door, not just the anti-theft flaps. And to attach the S-hooks to my wheels I had to pull the elastic pretty much to its limit. The S-hooks are plastic, so this worries me in terms of durability. Finally, it seems that it will take effort in positioning the cover to ensure that the wiper blades are covered in addition to the top of the windshield itself. It might not seem like that much of a gain if your windshield is pretty clear but your wipers are frozen in place.

Frost on my windshield in the morning is more aggravating than snow because you don't expect it to take so much time to scrape but it does. This frost guard is easy to install and works. The guard comes with a drawstring storage pouch. Securing the frost guard is done by securing loops around side the view mirrors, a bungy strap hooked to the wheels and ear flaps that are secured in the front door frames. I park in my driveway and on windy days there is a wind tunnel between the houses, and I have confidence that this will stay secure. I am looking forward to using it when the snow hits soon. Easy to install and effective.

The product performs much better than I expected, it's compact and easy to store, and the installation is also very convenient. It's truly a lifesaver on snowy days. The installation is also easy. I put strap around sideview mirrors. The I secured anti-theft straps in door .the final step is just to attach straps to your wheels. Very satisfied!!!

This fits my suv really well. It’s a good price and I like that it’s compact. It took a little to figure out how to put it on but not too bad. We’ll be using it for our snow trips and hopefully it’ll do the trick and hold up well!

This universal frost guard is decent for what it is. It fits my 2005 Corolla well enough. You can't get a real tight seal, so I do worry a bit about higher winds blowing snow under the edges. Also, the instructions state to put the elastic bands on the mirrors first, but I prefer to place the flaps inside the doors first so I can get a good fit across the top of my windshield. Overall this is a decent frost protector and it packs away nicely when stored.
