This dead sea salt drastically faded scratch marks from chronic hives
This dead sea salt is actually quite awesome. I went through a very stressful period in my life (death of a loved one) and started constantly breaking out in hives. I saw several allergists, dermatologists and other doctors but none of them could figure it out. They all chalked it up to severe stress. The hives persisted for over 6 months. In addition to the hives, my body was covered in scratch marks. I was careful not to scratch during the day as I didn't want to create scars but I was scratching my legs in my sleep! The allergy medications (both OTC and Rx) provided minimal relief. And let's face it, who knows what big pharma is putting in medications these days. So I got off the pills and started researching natural therapies. Within that same week, I went to see my hair stylist -- who's from Israel. He saw the marks on my neck, arms and legs and asked if I had been attacked by *every bee on the planet* (yep, that's how bad my skin looked). I explained about the hives and he said, "Have you tried taking a bath several times a week with dead sea salt?" He continued to explain the benefits and while he was blow drying my hair, I went on Amazon and ordered a bag of Minera. I thought the product was a bit expensive so I just ordered a small bag to try it out. To be honest, I didn't go with high hopes but I filled up the bathtub and added 2 cups of salt anyway. After sitting in the bath for 30 minutes, I felt better. But the big difference is when I got out of the tub and looked at my skin in the mirror, the scratch marks were already 10% lighter ! I thought it was a temporary result but the next morning when I looked in the mirror, the marks had definitely faded a bit. So I bought a few more bags and have been taking a bath 2-3x per week. The difference has been remarkable. Not only have the hives calmed down significantly, all of the scratch marks on my arms and legs continue to fade. I was a skeptic...
If you've ever floated in the Dead Sea, you'll probably remember the 'texture' of the water -- a water that almost feels slightly oily against the skin, but it's not -- it's the unique, dense mixed mineral profile, and quite unlike ocean water. I've never found that in other brands of Dead Sea salts, but one good handful of Minera in a tub of warm water brought that memory right back -- it feels so much like the real thing that I was looking around for the mud! You might also remember that half an hour soaking in the Dead Sea can make you feel like you just took a couple Xanax -- that's partly the greater oxygen at that low altitude, but partly breathing the mineral-rich air. I never expected to get THAT from mere bath salts, but a long soak using Minera was extremely calming and relaxing, and definitely unlike the other brands I've used. Finally, and the reason I bought it -- a recurring contact dermatitis problem cleared up after soaking the area with Minera-salted water for a few minutes twice a day for just 3 days. It is very drying, like the Dead Sea, but also healing. I was a skeptic -- how different can one brand of Dead Sea salt be from the others? I didn't think any of them could capture the real qualities of the Dead Sea. Now I'm a believer -- Minera is as close as you can get, and is the only brand I'll use from now on. Last thing -- if you've ever soaked in the Dead Sea, you remember being cautioned: DO NOT get it in your eyes or your mouth! That's good advice with Minera, too. An amazing scalp treatment!
I have only used this product twice, but could not wait to write a review. I will sure to update with any additional feedback as I use it longer. I ordered this product to treat Sebhorriec Dermatitis on my scalp. Having had this condition for over 10 years, I have quite literally tried everything to treat to it. A random tip from an Internet forum suggested mixing Dead Sea Salt with my shampoo (side not: I use a Deva product that is non lathering and contains no harsh chemicals), I was on board. I will literally.try. anything. I have done it twice. Both times, I used a little bit os salt mixed into my shamppo and scrubbed all over my scalp, and then took some salt and applied it directly to my scalp. Rinse. Dry. Wait. REJOICE. Wonder in amazement, pray this is real... Repeat 3 days later ... Skeptically check scalp in every available mirror and several kinds of light. CONTINUE REJOICING. Write glowing review on Amazon. Let me be clear, my scalp is not clear... I do have some flakes and evidence of the characteristic caps that are forms by Sebhorreic Dermatitis. BUT, the itching? Gone! The constant need to check my scalp to ensure that no crusty flakes have gotten loose in my hair and are presenting themselves to everyone? GONE. Most importantly, my SD tends to creep out from my hairline and onto my face (around the top of my forehead) and it has completely VANISHED. I could not be more thrilled. Now, I've also used this product as intended, to soak in a tub, and it's wonderful. I ordered the fine grain and was impressed with the quality. After on bath I found that my sore muscles were relaxed and an igrown hair that was forming on my biking area had drained and was ready to be plcuked out (perhaps a little TMI, but noteworthy - if you're suffered from these, you know!). Baby smooth soft skin
I have only used this product one time and already see results. I have guttate psoriasis so I break out every few years and although mine is already clearing on it's own I can definitely see how people with chronic psoriasis love this stuff. It did sting my psoriasis spots but that only lasted a minute or two. Lets face it it's salt there will be a stinging sensation in spots that aren't normal skin. However, I immediately noticed that my skin was unbelievably smooth. There was no drying but I did put a lotion on afterwards. I used BWC lotion which is perfume free etc. as although people with psoriasis are supposed to use HEAVY moisturizers I can not because the greasy feeling irritates my skin. bwc is a thick moisturizer that is not greasy so the sea salt and lotion mix was like heaven for my skin. I am very excited to see results after a week of tanning and sea salt baths. Also my skin has a nice glow to it and I can run my fingers across my psoriasis spots and it feels like normal skin no irritation. As an added note I did extensive heavy research on which brand of sea salt to buy. I'm happy to say I picked the right company to purchase from because the salt is the real deal! Pain Relief from Minera Sea Salt Bath
I'll start out by saying that I've been in pain for around 18 months...hands, wrists, feet, ankles. I've had numerous medical tests which turned out negative, except for mild carpal tunnel in one wrist. I cannot take aspirin or any kind of NSAIDs so I've primarily been using essential oils for pain and watching my diet, staying away from sugar, caffeine, and even decaffeinated coffee and tea. We took a trip to SC to the beach at the end of September, and I immediately started feeling better and was even able to ride my bike on the beach every day without pain. So when I got home I started researching "health benefits of ocean water" and found some things about negatively charged ions, etc. You can look it up on Bing and find all sorts of research. Anyway, I decided to order this product to see if it would help my pain the same way being at the ocean helped--because my pain returned a few days after getting back home. I've been using these sea salts in my bath every night and can honestly say that I have much less pain in my hands and wrists and no pain in my feet or ankles, even after hiking. I had some sciatica pain in my hip and legs at night and that is pretty much gone. In fact, one night I showered and skipped the salt bath and ended up in pain for several hours during the night. MY SKIN FEELS MUCH BETTER AFTER A SOAK, ALWAYS SHOWER OFF FOLLOWING A SOAK..
This is my first time trying this product in my Bath Tub, I have to remember to shower off after my Bath Tub soak as directed on the package. I will say my Skin does feel better, especially during the Winter Months, will continue to purchase in the future, was worth it.

Excellent Quality – Perfect for Relaxing Soaks
