This dead sea salt is actually quite awesome. I went through a very stressful period in my life (death of a loved one) and started constantly breaking out in hives. I saw several allergists, dermatologists and other doctors but none of them could figure it out. They all chalked it up to severe stress. The hives persisted for over 6 months. In addition to the hives, my body was covered in scratch marks. I was careful not to scratch during the day as I didn't want to create scars but I was scratching my legs in my sleep! The allergy medications (both OTC and Rx) provided minimal relief. And let's face it, who knows what big pharma is putting in medications these days. So I got off the pills and started researching natural therapies. Within that same week, I went to see my hair stylist -- who's from Israel. He saw the marks on my neck, arms and legs and asked if I had been attacked by *every bee on the planet* (yep, that's how bad my skin looked). I explained about the hives and he said, "Have you tried taking a bath several times a week with dead sea salt?" He continued to explain the benefits and while he was blow drying my hair, I went on Amazon and ordered a bag of Minera. I thought the product was a bit expensive so I just ordered a small bag to try it out. To be honest, I didn't go with high hopes but I filled up the bathtub and added 2 cups of salt anyway. After sitting in the bath for 30 minutes, I felt better. But the big difference is when I got out of the tub and looked at my skin in the mirror, the scratch marks were already 10% lighter ! I thought it was a temporary result but the next morning when I looked in the mirror, the marks had definitely faded a bit. So I bought a few more bags and have been taking a bath 2-3x per week. The difference has been remarkable. Not only have the hives calmed down significantly, all of the scratch marks on my arms and legs continue to fade. Plus the calming bath has been extremely helpful for de-stressing. I wish this product was a bit less expensive but as they saying goes, "You get what you pay for".

My son has eczema and broke out in rashes about 2 months ago. We tried everything we could think of. We monitored his diet for weeks, changed the laundry detergent, changed his bath soap, switched up his moisturizers. Nothing worked. We also tried epsom salt, which did nothing for him. I did some research and gave this dead sea salt a try and it completely dried out his skin. I mean it stripped his skin of all moisture to where I was applying moisturizer every 2 hours and still could not get it to stop. It was the most stressful thing every seeing him scratching endlessly and skin flaking off all over the place but not being able to find anything to help. And then I found the Shea body butter from The Body Shop. That in combination with the Minera dead sea salt has been the help we desperately needed. Minera was drying out the rash and underneath all the flakey, dried out skin was smooth, soft, rash free skin. But the body butter helped to prevent him from tearing up the new skin while he was rubbing off the dry flakes. Minera has saved us from endless nights of him waking up and scratching in the middle of the night. It was to the point where he was bleeding in patches. I am so relieved to have found something that works for us and will definitely be buying more.

I have only used this product one time and already see results. I have guttate psoriasis so I break out every few years and although mine is already clearing on it's own I can definitely see how people with chronic psoriasis love this stuff. It did sting my psoriasis spots but that only lasted a minute or two. Lets face it it's salt there will be a stinging sensation in spots that aren't normal skin. However, I immediately noticed that my skin was unbelievably smooth. There was no drying but I did put a lotion on afterwards. I used BWC lotion which is perfume free etc. as although people with psoriasis are supposed to use HEAVY moisturizers I can not because the greasy feeling irritates my skin. bwc is a thick moisturizer that is not greasy so the sea salt and lotion mix was like heaven for my skin. I am very excited to see results after a week of tanning and sea salt baths. Also my skin has a nice glow to it and I can run my fingers across my psoriasis spots and it feels like normal skin no irritation. As an added note I did extensive heavy research on which brand of sea salt to buy. I'm happy to say I picked the right company to purchase from because the salt is the real deal! Look no where else if you one the real deal this is it.

Over the past many months, I have been suffering/struggling/battling severe psoriasis. The steroid and non-steroid ointments and creams prescribed by my dermatologist helped only a little...the flare-ups persisted, eruptions continued. This is my first time trying this product in my Bath Tub, I have to remember to shower off after my Bath Tub soak as directed on the package. I will say my Skin does feel better, especially during the Winter Months, will continue to purchase in the future, was worth it.
