I got this for my son and he loved it. He asked for it as a gift and now he plays it all the time on his switch. I figured it would have been just like regular Minecraft but he said it comes with other things such as worlds to play in and creatures to play with. Only downfall I noticed was you have to have the Nintendo online membership to play online but I believe that is with most Nintendo games. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My 6 year old son is obsessed with Minecraft - so much so that I've purchased multiple licenses of the main game so we can "connect" while my husband or I are on work travel and it came it clutch when I was quarantined during COVID. It's been a great tool to help him be creative and collaborate and also a Segway to a lot of conversations more than "how was your day". Initially worried this would be a revamped version of Minecraft Dungeons (or at least some variation of a continuation) but this was not. This is expanded if you will where there is now a nice blend of building and strategizing. Players can build resources like ally spawners, arrow towers for defense, etc. while advancing with the objective of the game of preserving the Overworld. Son has been addicted but given 4 stars because the game can get glitchy and the video begins to stutter where it seems like the Switch can't keep up with the action of the game. Came with downloadable content though I'm not sure if that's the "deluxe" component. Pro-Parenting tip for a parent just introducing Minecraft, I 100% recommend turning off the Narrator in the game's accessibility settings if it does not aid your child in gameplay. The voice is robotic and reads our every action they perform on the screen so it is just constant robo-voice that can be unnerving. ... show more

    • My grandson LOVES this game! He has wanted it for a while so I got it for him for his birthday.
I have never played the game, I bought it for my youngest grandson. He absolutely LOVES it and it's all he has talked about. When we asked what he'd like for his birthday.. this game was at the top of a short list! He's a bit "choosey" about what games he likes and I'm not sure what it was about this one, or how he even knew about it.. but I believe he knows someone who has it and has seen/played it at his friends home maybe? My grandson is happy with the game of his choosing and grandma is happy that little guy loves it! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've been slowly but surely expanding my Switch game collection and I'm so glad to be adding this game to it. Overall cute and fun game. And it arrived in phenomenal shape. The packaging was great. And free DLC.
