This is my first Milwaukee 12 volt tool. I got this because of its compact size, great design and seeing that Milwaukee has so many other options for 12 volt and 18 volt tools decided to start purchasing and trying their tools. Really like the feel and handling of this tool. Already had a Rapid Charger for 18 and 12 volt so I just got the bare tool. Like the quick change chuck a lot! I purchased the Milwaukee drill bit set up to 1/2" and can't say enough good things how nice it is to be chuckless for all my small drill and screw/nut driver needs. Very quick change and solid. LED light stays on nice and long and is great help in seeing the screw head. Also picked up the 2.0 ah battery. The more I use it the more I really like the 1/4" quick change chuck. If there is one small gripe it would be that the forward/reverse switch needs to be a bit harder to switch. It is to easy to switch it accidently. Easy to remedy except when one hand is holding something like a board, the other with the driver and a screw in the bit ready to go. ... show more

    • Amazing driver.
Best bit driver I have ever used. This is the only drill I've found which allows you to switch between using the clutch and direct drive. I work on airplanes which have hundreds of screws which need to be taken out to open inspection panels. With this feature, if a screw is hard to remove and the clutch slips, I simply turn the selector to direct drive, which takes about 1 second. Without this feature, it could take a few seconds to turn the clutch all the way to direct drive mode. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but time adds up fast when there are hundreds of screws. Also, it saves your wrists the unnecessary movement. Battery lasts forever. Drill stands upright on the battery. Therefore, very well balanced. Belt clip on the side is SO handy, never need to search for a place to put the drill down, just clip it into my pocket. I will buy this drill again when mine goes out, unless they make something equally as awesome, but lighter. ... show more

Working for an electric company you have to take on and off panel covers frequently. The small size combined with 2 speeds definitely a plus when you need to lighten your tool bag. The selectable drill and drive mode is nice to keep a particular torque setting dialed in. Only complaint is that they should have BARE TOOL in the main description. ... show more
