  • Overall best multi tool
Finally decided to upgrade my multi tool after watching the reviews on Youtube. I've been using a Dewalt multi tool for years and it still works fine so really didn't need a new one. Also, there is usually a price premium on Milwaukee tools over Dewalt but the Milwaukee tools seem to be better and worth the premium. My Dewalt still gets the job done but regardless of the type or condition of the blade (currently using carbide tipped blades) causes smoke when cutting wood most of the time and with a lot of effort. There also times when the vibration just brakes apart the wood before cutting through it. The Milwaukee is like night and day compared to the Dewalt, no smoke and cuts wood effortlessly even without the carbide tipped blade. Definitely a lot less vibration and it seems slightly quieter (less loud) than the Dewalt. I like that it has a speed dial but the automatic setting works really well. Seems a little heavier than the Dewalt but not a big deal when you're working. Almost bought it at Home Depot but found one that was a little more than half the price on Amazon. Ordered this kit because it included the bag, 5 ah battery, charger, sanding head, one blade, and delivery by the next morning at a much better price than Home Depot which they didn't have in stock at the local store. ... show more

  • TOP NOTCH: You get what you expect to get. Battery included: M18 5.0ah XC
All items came packed in original manufacturers box, doesn't look like any items were even removed from the packaging in box, so it's likely a brand new kit. The listing does not specify it, but the battery included is M18 5.0ah XC, the charger is standard and works well. Kind of odd that more pictures and details aren't listed on Amazon. More details / pics would likely lead to more customer base, but what do i know? Lastly, the cordless Multi tool works great, it seems lighter but feels stronger compared to the corded DeWalt that I replaced. I've only sanded and done 2 minor things so far, so not much to report. For ne, Milwaukee has earned their reliable reputation. For corded stuff, I am open to Makita / DeWalt and others, but for cordless, I am looking no further, I don't see any reason to consider getting a different set of batteries from anyone else. Sorry DeWalt, we've been through so many walls, so many stories and surprises through the years, but I've moved on and you should too, you'll feel better. ... show more

  • Kickass tool
I was blown away by how well this worked for undercutting concrete nails under a bottom plate in the framing in my basement. It saved me hours upon hours compared to tearing out the boards using the claws of a framing hammer. With a steady hand, it buzzes right through nails, as long as you use a quality blade designed for cutting through nails. ... show more

  • Versatile and useful. You will find more uses for it if you are a builder/maker.
I have used this thing to make so many projects easier and faster. There are so many possible uses for this tool that I was able to find a versatile blade pack that allows me to cut just about anything I need to. Last week I was cutting foam off the back of the shower surround and this week I was cutting drywall for a new electrical installation. Even if you ruin a blade cutting through a nail you didn't see, the cut is made simply by plunging the blade into the wall. I mean it took me two minutes to cut out a perfect spot for a new electrical box install in the back of a small closet. I had to adjust the hole as I went, no drywall break out and the box was a perfect slide in fit. It was awesome! ... show more
