Look, I'm not sure why I have probably owned a tool from every major competitor of Milwaukee and at 65 I've had a lot, and I don't want to put too much thought into the amount of money spent over the years and some were more than The price of Milwaukee and didn't last as long as the least expensive tools, I was thinking about it recently when I had a few issues with a driver and then my drill, and the drill wasn't even 3 years old, but I thought to myself that I believed it was for no real reason I've never owned Milwaukee, but if I have to replace the set, actually I don't buy sets, I shop what I think i need and I don't think that much about the price because tool's are or at least for me have always been something that I would not let the price dictate what I purchased. I was determined to own a Milwaukee rather it was the driver or the 1/2 drill, and I purchased the drill a few weeks ago, and I have been literally in love with the thing since the first day. So I had to go ahead and pick this one up and I think I've had it for a total of 6 hours and I think I have been missing out, I'm almost embarrassed or at least feel stupid for overlooking the Milwaukee brand and I have been running around the shop today looking for whatever I could find that would help me use this thing over and over, and I'm sure you will make up your mind based on your needs and what you know about tool's, but if you happen to be in the market for a drill or an impact driver, I recommend you don't overlook these tool's, this driver specifically and good luck with whatever you choose.

I am building a new deck. The old one was built with the wrong screws mixed with the right ones. The fact that I can remove those difficult ones is a tremendous hand and elbow saver. To give it a test run, I removed and demolished very carefully (to re-use the wood) the ground-contact rated pressure-treated 2x4 upper and lower rails, and the 2x2 slats of the same type. I did not even use 1/4 of the battery, and it hammered quite a bit on several screws. The wrist saver function is awesome, I think. I wish it were adjustable so that it would activate later, as sometimes it stopped when I wanted to keep going. The thermal protection is great too. Although aggravating when it lets me know its time to cool down (refuses to apply high torque at that point)....but that feeling is quickly mitigated by the knowledge that this tool and its battery will last a very long time.

The product itself is fantastic. Great price and great value then we could find anywhere else. Amazon customer service was lacking to say the least. What we didn't know when we placed this order was we would need a one time pass code to give to the delivery driver. The shipping date was changed several times so we missed the driver the first day. The second attempted was delayed due to weather. The third attempt was unsuccessful as well because the timeframe did not suit our work schedules. Amazon told me that I could change the shipping address on the third attempt, which was a lie!!! Amazon canceled our order after the third attempt and I was told they didn't even know where the item was. Item was reordered by my parents and shipped to their address. No one time pass code was given to them and was left on their porch on delivery day. AMAZON, what is the problem with this. I was given the run around and they got nothing and no notice for the item. This makes no sense whatsoever!!! Very disappointed with your customer service for this situation.

I'm not rich enough to buy cheap things. This is my first Milwaukee. I felt like a 12-year-old boy when I received the box. I opened it with trepidation and delight. Now I can't let it out of my hands; my wife is jealous))) So far, I've only worked on the wood. Everything is great, no complaints. I'll be fixing the car soon, and I'm sure this guy will do a great job. Thanks for making the little boy inside me happy :)

I have a whole shop full of air tools so I've dragged my feet for *years* buying cordless tools, but sometimes dragging an air hose around isn't an option. I finally hit that point and after a lot of anxiety pulled the trigger on these Milwaukee tools. My point of comparison is a friend's Makita equivalents, and our mutual opinion is that the Milwaukee stuff is as good if not better. "Throttle" control is flawless - it's very easy to control the speed of the tool. It's incredibly light for the power it offers. I've yet to run out of battery even with pretty intense use. The LED lights are nicely spaced and plenty bright. I can (unfortunately) say it will survive a fall of 10' without damage. :/ My only real complaint is that the charger is huge... It's probably convenient for many that it will also charge older Milwaukee batteries, but if you're like me and this is your only tool platform, the charge is just annoyingly bulky. I'm very satisfied with the M18 Fuel system, and will no doubt be expanding my collection over time.

Since retiring from teaching, I've been sorting out small jobs around the house that I put off for years. I bought this Milwaukee M18 Fuel driver after my brother recommended it, mainly for putting up garage shelving and handling stubborn screws. It made assembling the shelves much less of a wrestle, and I found the 1/4-inch hex setup easy to use with my bits. I also tried it on a few screws in the old fence, where it got the job done without me leaning my whole weight into it. The tool is louder and heavier than my old cordless drill, so I still reach for that on delicate work. For tougher jobs, I'm glad I have this nearby.
