I replaced a Ryobi set of tools because this set cost less than buying the Ryobi lithium batteries and charger. There is no comparison between the quality of these tools over Ryobi. Between the power, battery duration, and various tool adjustments the Milwaukee is far superior. The addition of the led lights really puts these tools in a class of their own. Battery recharge takes only about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this set to anyone seeking battery powered tools.     • Mini 12 volt tool with 18 volt torque
I have DeWalt 18v tools which are excellent, but needed something smaller, and lighter in weight for some jobs. The Milwaukee 12v cordless tools fit that need, and are surprising powerful. I find myself reaching for these more often than the old 18v stuff now. They are just so much lighter and compact than the other cordless stuff in my toolbox, yet have what seems to be the same amount of torque and power to get most jobs done. I love the battery power indicator lights, and the LED in the front that lights up where I'm working. The batteries charge quickly, and last a fair amount of time, similar to my 18v tools.     • Greate set of tools with fantastic battery life.
I use these tools constantly when working on my (or friends') Jeep, around the house. So far I've never run out of juice, even with the small batteries supplied. I might buy one more battery just in case but so far I see no need. I've been a huge fan of Milwaukee cordless power tools ever since getting the 1/2" M18 Fuel impact driver about 18 months ago. I also have the M18 Fuel 4.5" angle grinder and reciprocating saw. I've been given other brands of cordless power tools and they either run out of juice before the job is done or are dead after being stored. But these Milwaukee tools keep running and the batteries don't go flat in storage. The only negative is the bag kind of sucks. It would be if the canvas was a bit heavier duty and if there were some pockets inside to hold batteries and accessories. ... show more

I purchased this 12VDC cordless combo drill and impact driver to supplement my 18 VDC cordless models as they are smaller and lighter in weight. I have found that I use these more often than the 18 VDC as they perform every bit as well as the larger and heavier models. I do have to charge them a little more often but with two batteries and the fast charger that came with the combo it is not a problem. I really like the performance. ... show more

    • Can't expect anything more out of a set this size.
Shipping was a bit slower than I preferred, but I've had worse. Anxiety may have played a role. As for the drill and driver, they are a bit top heavy without the larger battery there balancing out the weight, but since the majority of the time, they will be resting against a surface, it doesn't pose too much of an inconvenience. I bought these for every day household use, knowing that they will be a little under powered compared to their bigger brothers of the M18 line -- but if I want to do anything heavy duty, I will pull out the big toys. The smaller, lighter design on the M12 does help in accessibility and hand fatigue. Over all, it is a good buy, as long as you know what to expect. ... show more

Batteries literally charge in 15 mins. Run for hours, show a battery life led on side. Hammer drill, impact driver kit is everything you need for 90% of light service technician work. Hammer drill works well, clutch is positive and repeatable. Speed setting is great for torque or speed. Best part is this does not wear you out just lifting the thing! Built solid as a rock!
