  • Compact, Powerful, and Tough!
Purchased this impact wrench in 2015 and ever since it has been my go-to when working on cars in the garage. It makes assembly / disassembly SO much faster than doing it by hand, and it has the power to break even pretty stubborn bolts. It even manages to break the lug nuts on my truck without too much fight. Having this amount of speed and power used to mean using air tools, but this does it without wrestling an air hose or having a noisy compressor running. With the standard size M12 batteries, it is extremely compact and fits into places that larger 18V type impacts would not fit due to their larger size and battery. The 3/8" square drive means it fits my most common sockets, but can be used with adapter to accept 1/2" or 1/4" drive sockets if needed. The standard batteries last longer than I expected and charge very fast (about 30 minutes). For this tool the standard size battery lasts me a long time. I have expanded my M12 lineup since I bought this tool, and I will say the more power hungry tools (such as hackzall, circ saw, etc) do need the larger capacity XC batteries! I try to be kind to my tools, but it does take a bit of abuse getting bumped in tight spaces, more than the occasional drop, etc...and it seems to have tolerated the abuse quite well. Overall, awesome little tool, absolutely love this thing. I do have my eye on the new 2554 M12 Fuel STUBBY 3/8" Impact, which has nearly TWICE the breaking torque as this does, in a smaller. Im also looking at the M12 ratchet, again for tight spots where the impact wont fit. ... show more

  • Well worth the money.
I want to preface this with the fact I do not have any experience with other battery impacts. After reading all the positive reviews on this impact, I decided to take the plunge and buy it. After doing a few odd jobs with it I have to say that I don't see myself using a ratchet for too many future jobs. It currently has power behind it and accomplishes most tasks using the provided battery. Speaking of the battery, the battery life is absolutely fantastic. I have used one battery for multiple jobs and have let it sit in between jobs in the frigid cold and hasn't lost charge due to time or temperature. With all that said, I've only been using the provided CP2.0 battery packs and I find it doesn't have the power a lot of other people are saying it does. Keep in mind that I'm dealing with 12 year old rusted bolts that have never been removed before in most cases (doing work on my own vehicle). I believe that the higher amp battery packs may alleviate this but I'll be buying the M18 FUEL 1/2" High Torque Impact to compliment this impact regardless. I fully recommend this impact to anyone. ... show more

  • Better bang for your buck than a snap on
I wanted to give this gun a week in the shop before I gave it a full review as I was really buying it to compare to the snap on 3/8" electric impact. About the wrench: Surprisingly powerful, ergonomic and overall, my most used tool. It's great for getting the small nuts and bolts and things like bolts for interiors of cars, battery terminals, air bags and other bolts, like small ones on suspension and engine. With a full charge, can take a lug nut torqued to 90lbs off a car with an adapter and 21MM socket, mind you I wouldn't use it like this regularly, but just wanted to test the power. The only negative I found is really a preference vs the snap on gun (which costs nearly $400 with battery and charger) is this has the traditional bump left or right for forward or reverse, where as snap on has a dual trigger, which is much nicer. But not worth the extra money in my book. Other wise, this battery lasts as long, takes off the same bolts in right around the same amount of time as the snap ons. ... show more

  • I have been using 18v makita tools for a long time and I felt like I was cheating buying a milwaukee tool
I did alot of research before buying this, and I was nervous about it not being strong enough. I have been using 18v makita tools for a long time and I felt like I was cheating buying a milwaukee tool. I was also worried 12v wouldn't be strong enough. I am blown away by the power of this little impact. I work in a busy automotive shop and I use and abuse my cordless tools. Just to test the power and battery life I used this to remove and install the lug nuts on 3 cars back to back. It had no problem with removal of lug nuts and still had 50% battery life. I would not recommend this tool for lug nut removal on a regular basis because it is near the limit of what it can do and it wouldn't last long pushed to its limit. I would recommend this to anyone I know pro or home gamer. I am looking forward to buying more milwaukee tools in the future. ... show more

  • Best money I've spent in a while
It's super powerful for a 12V tool, if I used it before I bought it, I would have paid double without asking. Battery life is crazy good, and for a small 3/8 gun the power is very surprising. I bought it when I started working on my 67 Ford truck, pulled everything down to and including the heads with it. Pulled off crusty old shock bolts, rusted up exhaust hangers, things I didn't think it would do, it did it with very little effort, I did'nt have to sit there waiting forever while it hammered on it and not do anything. Love this tool, still surprised by it when I use it. I can't say enough good things about it, If you're just doing basic automotive work, hands down the best tool to have. ... show more
