  • It blends well. Do not twist too much. Use your fingers to apply
Color: 09.5 - Tan, neutral to warm olive
Creamy and decent coverage. It is a little bit of product but you will not need a lot. Use your finger to apply it. It blends well. Do not twist too much because it does not retract. I found 9.5 to be a good match for my skin tone ( medium brown with olive and neutral undertones). It helps to even out the color without looking “caked up”. ... show more

  • A yes from a cosmetologist!
Color: 03 - Fair, cool
This is a yes and highly recommended to my clients as well! It’s easy to apply , not heavy, blends nicely and natural coverage that is buildable.

  • Excellent Quality
Color: 11 - Deep tan, neutral to warm
I have used a lot of different concealers over the years, but never the MILK brand, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have used this for the last two weeks. It has a light and pleasant smell and a smooth texture with a bit of shimmer, which I like. The concealer stick stays up when you click it forward, and I generally prefer those that can completely retract back down, so I don’t like that. I found the concealer blends and very well, which I like, but I think the actual concealing part could be better. It lasts most of the day, similar to other products I’ve used. There’s no flaking, buildup, chunking, or migrating, like some lower quality concealers sometimes have. I haven’t had an increase in breakouts, which I like; most likely because of the hyaluronic acid. Honestly, this is an above average quality product, but for the price, I would expect more effective concealment. In my opinion, there are less costly concealers on the market with better value, but my experience with the product has been positive. ... show more

  • Grippy gel concealer with skincare benefits
Color: 12.75 - Deep, warm olive
I am largely familiar with Milk's hydro grip primer, so, I was really interested to see they came out with a hydro grip gel concealer. Truthfully, I had a hard time envisioning what "gel concealer" even meant, but figured it was worth trying. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered the wrong shade, so I won't be able to comment too strongly on the "concealing" element of it, but I was able to test it out enough to comment on color, blendability, texture, ease of application, etc. Starting with the color, this 12.75 is one of the darkest shades in this line. It's hard to photograph from the stick, but in person, it looks like a sort of chocolatey brown. The actual color, when blended out, ends up looking closer to a dark tan or very light brown. This may work fine as a concealer for some skin tones, but I don't feel like the color matches the stick or listing photos once it's blended out. If you have a darker skin tone, you may want to be careful about which color you get, to ensure a proper match. Speaking of blending, the formula does blend pretty well, but because it's "gel" concealer, you want to blend it out pretty quickly, because once it sets, it's not going to blend out anymore, no matter how hard you try. Personally, I don't love this in a concealer, as I'd prefer not having to rush to blend before my concealer sets. As with any concealer, you're going to want to make sure that your under eyes are already nicely hydrated before you apply this one. This one does have moisturizing benefits, which is great, but if you have dry under eyes, you're always going to end up with texture issues when you apply concealer. Given that this one is more "grippy", I'd say it goes doubly for this formula. The more you take care of your skin, the better your makeup will look! I do think the price is a bit on the high side for the amount of concealer you get, but I also recognize that Milk is a fantastic brand, and you're paying for the quality of their products. I don't think it's a totally unreasonable price, but given some of my other concerns with blendability and color matching, it's one I'd feel more hesitant about buying at the current price point. Overall, if you like Milk Makeup and are able to accurately color match the concealer you need, I think this one will probably work well for most people! ... show more

  • This is not at all what I was expecting.
Color: 06 - Light medium, neutral to cool
Edit: I have done a review for shade 4.5, but I also ordered three other shades including 6, 7 and 9.5. I am going to try to use 9.5 as a contour since it is too dark. The formula doesn't blend out very far since it has that gripping thing going on, but I don't want to waste it. I like the formula. It is easy to apply directly with the stick and then pat in. This review is for shade 4.5. I didn't know how Milk was assigning shade numbers and in the end I realized that it was close to the shade system for the skin tints and I am a shade 4 in the skin tint and the shades I ended up with was shade 4.5, 6, 7 and 9.5, and 4.5 ended up being an almost exact match to my skin. I am surprised because if I had known the system, I probably would have ordered something a little lighter than 4.5 to brighten. I was surprised to see concealer sticks. They haven't been very popular in recent years but I was excited that a brand came out with one last year that also had a liquid concealer on the other end. I did discover that once you twist it up, it STAYS up. So be careful with how much you twist. The formula is much thicker than I expected and does not blend out far, so pretty much where you put it, is where it is staying. In that sense, it definitely has the grip thing down. It has a satiny matte finish. I would say it has light to medium coverage. I patted it in place on top of my circles and blended lightly with my fingers because I think brushes would blend it around too much. I have dark circles and it didn't cover them much so I will make sure to use with my correctors like I usually do in the future. Overall, I think this is best for people who don't need a lot of coverage and it is great for a no makeup makeup look. It looked like I have nothing on my face. In the hours I had it on, I didn't notice any settling into lines. If you like a lot of coverage, you won't like this. I tried building but I didn't notice a difference. I usually love Milk Makup, but I am not the biggest fan of natural, barely there makeup and this is best for that. I am sure teenagers and 20 somethings will love the not there look and they are probably young enough, they don't have much to cover. I wish I had appreciated that more when I was young. I plan on using it more in the future and figuring out which corrector will look best. I think it would be a great concealer to carry in your purse for touching up since you can pat it on so easily. Honestly, I don't think you get a lot for the price. It is not what I expected but I don't hate it. So far, I like it and maybe I will learn to love it. FYI, the picture has 4.5. ... show more
