This is a really gorgeous, heavy ceramic frame - you can feel the quality in the weight of it. I got both this one and another blue and white frame from the same manufacturer, they're not identical, but they match extremely well because the color scheme is the same. I'm going to use them to put photos of my two sets of grandparents at the time they got married, in the early 1940s. For the black and white photos I wanted frames that looked sort of antique and vintage, this is exactly what I had in mind. And the price seems pretty reasonable for the beautiful quality.

This frame is heavy, beautiful and I love the paisley and little flowers. I was very happy to see that it was packaged so well for shipping. Just FYI, it doesn't come in its own product box. The shades of blue swirls and little flowers are vibrant, and the frame looks even prettier in person. But, one issue that is very annoying is that the picture framing glass is acrylic, and they put a sticker on it that is hard to get off. I would use something like Goo Gone to get it off, but I don't want to scratch up/damage the acrylic. There are stickers that come off easily and stickers that don't. Why would they put a sticker that's difficult to get off on the acrylic picture framing glass? Also, why not just put the sticker on the back of the frame? I got two different styles of this frame and both are like this. I look at reviews a lot while shopping. I hope this review helps.

I picked up the Mikasa Paisley Ceramic Photo Frame for my wife, and I was so excited because she loves Mikasa and it looked so pretty. AND, it's even prettier when it is sitting in front of you. It's such a shame then that Mikasa made 2 very regrettable choices in the production of an otherwise appealing product. The frame exudes a sense of sturdiness, evident in every detail, from the ceramic body to the backing, latches, and fold-out easel. However, a noticeable disappointment lies in the decision to use a cheap, thin plastic instead of glass to cover the picture. This choice, while presumably a cost-saving measure, undermines the overall quality of the product. The tactile experience falls short, leaving one wishing for a material that emulates the premium feel of the rest of the frame. To compound matters, Mikasa made a much more significant misstep by affixing their brand label directly onto the thin plastic. The label, astonishingly sticky, becomes a nightmare to remove. This becomes a major concern as attempting removal without delicacy risks damaging the plastic. It's an unfortunate oversight that taints an otherwise perfect canvas for displaying Mikasa's craftsmanship and artistry. On the positive side, the frame fulfills its primary purpose by effectively showcasing a 5x7 inch photo. The blue and white paisley design adds a touch of grace and class, drawing attention to the displayed memory. The inclusion of an easel makes it convenient for displaying photos on various horizontal surfaces, like a shelf or desk. It should be easy to keep clean because the ceramic is sleek and smooth, which should also resist the accumulation of dust, in the first place. In summary, the Mikasa Paisley Ceramic Photo Frame offers a mixed experience. While it excels in aesthetics, sturdiness, and functionality, the choice of a cheap plastic cover and the problematic placement of the brand label on that plastic leaves room for improvement. Mikasa's craftsmanship and artistry are evident, but these production decisions diminish the overall appeal of an otherwise beautiful product. As a consumer, I'm left with mixed emotions – appreciating the frame's beauty while lamenting the missed opportunity for a flawless execution.

I love blue and white decor and these frames are perfect for that style. The blue is rich and dark, and the pattern is stunning. This picture frame holds photos measuring 5x7". The frame can be oriented portrait or landscape, and there is also a hook so you can hang it on the wall. The back of the frame is lined with black velvet, and it's easy to insert photos. The frame is ceramic and heavy and really adds some drama to your space. I think this frame would look amazing on a wall, but you can put it anywhere you want to display your photos and add some color. This frame would also make a great gift. It's stunning and sure to impress the recipient. I would definitely recommend this frame. It's excellent quality, beautiful and perfect for gifting.

When first unboxing this frame, I was really impressed with the quality. It is beautiful. The color and pattern are really eye catching. It feels substantial and at first looks like a much more expensive frame. Then, I noticed that instead of glass to cover the picture, they included a piece of plastic. I am left to wonder why Mikasa chose plastic instead of glass when they clearly have no problem selling a variety of glass items. All I can think is that it's possible that there are subtle variations behind the frame and maybe that makes using glass undesirable. It's such an elegant frame though that the plastic seems really out of place. The frame overall still looks nice, but if giving this as a gift, be aware of this issue because it makes an otherwise elegant frame seem kind of cheap.

2.10.24~ Yes I have a bit of a thing with picture frames. And pictures. Big fan of print from home & pick up in store. If a moment makes you smile, it should be displayed in a frame that makes you smile. Impulsed on this beautiful cobalt blue & white paisley. after Mikasa lured me in to get their blue & white sunflower globe. The 2 are displayed together as they belong. * Worth Noting~ Picture protector is plastic not glass. Maybe with ceramic glass would be a challenge? As someone who only does glass feel the compromise is ok for the frame quality. This frame is backed by gorgeous deep black velvet. A supported ribbon on the stand to face up or sideways. Oh and the frame with its smooth polished ceramic glaze. If you like pretty things, even if you just like blue, Mikasa made this a must.
