This is a really beautiful, heavy ceramic frame - you can feel the quality in the weight of it. I got both this one and another blue and white frame from the same manufacturer, they're not identical, but they match extremely well because the color scheme is the same. I'm going to use them to put side by side photos of my two sets of grandparents at the time they got married, in the early 1940s. For the black and white photos I wanted frames that looked sort of antique and vintage, this is exactly what I had in mind. This 5x7 picture frame is so lovely! The ceramic is high quality, with a beautiful blue flower pattern. The picture frame part is acrylic, not glass, but that’s okay, it looks very clear like glass would. The ceramic itself is heavy enough, so the acrylic lightens the overall weight, so it’s able to hang on a wall. It also has a folding easel back piece to sit on a surface too.     • Beautiful Old World Ceramic Picture Frame
The frame is well made and is reminiscent of old Portuguese or Italian tiles. It is heavy and sturdy and made with quality ceramic. The deep blue floral pattern is very elegant. The picture frame can be hung on the wall or put on a tabletop. It can placed in a landscape or portrait orientation. I did take off a star for the sticker on the clear plastic cover. They must use an industrial strength adhesive because I tried using a toothbrush, sponge, rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover to get the glue off and nothing worked. After 30 minutes of trying everything, the only thing that finally worked after 30 minutes was tape adhesive remover from a medical supply store. I am very happy with the picture frame I ordered. It frames 5" x 7" photos and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. The back is also lined with velvet. This frame has a hook so you could display these on the wall. I think they would look beautiful on the wall in a bathroom or kitchen. The frame is ceramic and heavy. The detail and pattern on the frame are really beautiful and add a pop of blue to your space. Perfect for accentuating your favorite photos or gifting to a friend. Would recommend this photo frame. What I am showing in the accompanying photo is that a Mikasa sticker is affixed to the front of the frame. Because the photo cover is probably plastic and not glass, I can't use solvents (usually rubbing alcohol) or a dull butter knife to remove the sticky paper residue because that would leave a hazy or scratched finish. Although the frame itself is a beautiful thick vintage-look painted ceramic, it is ruined by the cheap thin plastic photo cover and made worse by placing an impossible to remove sticker on top. I am very disappointed and now have to spend time soaking and rubbing to make this usable. ... show more

    • Beautiful Frame, delivered just as pictured.
This frame is made of fired red clay, with a white glaze and then the blue pattern and another clear glaze on top. It is more luminous in person than can be captured in a photo. Definitely a quality item. I will give this as a gift. It's not packaged for that, but a minor inconvenience at best. I think anyone would appreciate receiving it, and if it works in your decorating scheme, it's quite handsome. Easy five-stars for a beautiful item. ... show more

    • Beautiful pottery frame. Cheap plastic protector which can't be used.
This could have been a contender! At over two pounds, this pottery-style frame is beautiful. The frame is glued to a felt backing that allows it to be hung or propped (built-in prop) on a mantel or tabletop. The back hinges open to allow placement of a 5x7 photo. Now for the downside: This beautiful frame has a cheap thin piece of clear plastic meant to be placed in front of the photo. The plastic has a large barcode sticker plastered across the front. I received three frames so tried three methods of removing the sticker - water, rubbing alcohol, and paint thinner. I was unable to remove the sticker fully without leaving either residue or fine scratches on the thin plastic. ... show more
