Purchased the Medium Dusty Rose 5" w/o zippers or liner... Wasn't sure what to expect from these cause lets be honest, buying clothing from Amazon can sometimes be a bit of a crapshoot. Is it a reputable company, or a Chinese knock-off that's going to disintegrate the minute you wash it? Turns out Mier IS a Chinese company, but they seem like they might be one of the good ones... They're not a ghost brand that uses a string of consonants as their brand name, and they're also not making knock-off products. I was on the hunt for some new running shorts, so I ended up buying: - 2 pairs of Mier shorts (these and a different pair in a 3" inseam) Kept both. - Some G Gradual shorts (kept some, but returned a pair to size up due to the weird elastic waistband they use) - A pair of 3" Pudolla shorts (kept) - 2 pairs of Aimpact shorts (if they weren't $14, I probably would have returned, but kept them) - A few pairs of military-style "ranger panties" from: - Soffee (cheap and amazing, but VERY short 2.5" inseam), - Combat Iron ( 2x more expensive than Soffee, but feel higher quality). Kept, and ordered more. - Zero Foxtrot (Returning. As expensive as Combat Iron, but feel cheaper. Was also sent the wrong pair) Even though i was looking for something shorter than a 5" short, these Mier shorts ended up being the best of the bunch. The Dusty Rose color is a welcome change to the colors you would normally find with athleticwear, and the material used here feels INCREDIBLY soft and lightweight. The elastic waistband has a bit of give and isn't super tight, making them VERY comfortable to wear on runs and around the house. The pockets are deep, and the shorts feel roomy without looking baggy. The lack of liner in these shorts was a VERY welcome change, since almost every pair I bought came with a built-in liner, which I honestly kinda hate. That lack of liner contributes to that lightweight feeling that just makes you forget you're even wearing them. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat. ... show more

I have been wearing the MIER Men's Workout Running Shorts Quick Dry Active 5 Inches with Pockets for over a year during my training for and running ultramarathons, and they have become my go-to running shorts. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, so I stay comfortable during long runs and hot weather. The quick-dry material also means they don't stay damp after a sweaty workout, which keeps me from getting chafed. I especially like the secure zippered pockets — I store phone and gels without worrying, and none of the zippers have failed after many washes. The fit is true to size, and the 5-inch inseam offers a good balance between freedom of movement and coverage. Read other reviews and almost did not buy, but I love these shorts. I bought two sizes, L and XL. At 6' and a muscular 235 build the L fit best for around the house wearing. They were a bit short and left little to the imagination, but very comfortable for home. The XL was longer in the leg and presented a more modest appearance suitable for the gym. I bought a two pack of these shorts back in February 2024. I personally found those shorts to be perfect for several reasons. I liked the fit of the shorts, the material although thin was good enough for the gym with good stretch and lastly I liked the high quality drawstring at the waist to secure the shirts for working out. Additionally I liked that the shorts had a small inside pocket that is perfect for a key fob. However this recent two pack of shorts that I bought were the same price but the quality of the drawstring in the waistband is ridiculous and nearly non functional. They went from a thick perfect branded drawstring on the waist to the most cheap flimsy drawstring they could find. This new drawstring is annoying because it's so thin that if you tie a knot to secure your shorts it's very difficult to undo the knot because it is so thin. Basically I used to love everything about these shorts originally and now that they have gotten popular they have dropped the quality and kept the same price. Drawstring sucks major in these shorts now unfortunately. For the price on sale for two they are still an okay option but now I need to replace the drawstring myself because they decided to put the cheapest one they could find from the factory. ... show more
