    • Strong Scent!
I wanted to try this shampoo. It sounded like dessert! I used it for the first time and I am almost overwhelmed by the strong scent of Rosemary - the Mint is there but in "balance." The shampoo lathers well, and rinsed out completely. It didn't leave my hair soft but I did notice it felt clean and it was much easier to dry for some reason. I have long, gray hair so this shampoo will work with gray hair, too. Overall, I will continue to use it and I will update if I change my mind about this review. ... show more

    • Finally worked after more use
I wanted to like this one, I really did, but it just unfortunately never worked for my wavy hair. Both the Shampoo and hair Masque have made my hair fall out in clumps during a shower. My hair did look good when I dried it, very soft, fluffy, and it actually made waves at the top of my head, but everytime I'd lose a concerning amount of hair that it just wasn't worth it to keep using. I feel like the oil is much better. Update: 9/18/23 (changing my rating from 3 to 5 stars) I've been using the oil and hair Masque more often and decided to go all in and try the Shampoo again. I think my hair got used to the oil and Masque because it actually started falling less than before. I was pleasantly surprised to see my shower drain catcher with a small amount of hair, the smallest amount it's been in months. Not even my regular Sheamoisture Stregthen and Restore could do that. I'd always have a moderate clump after using that line. But back to Mielle. My hair has felt so much healthier, softer, and shinier since using the Shampoo, Masque, and oil. I can also tell that my hair has been growing out more. The slight bald spot in the back of my head looks more filled out and the front of my hair looks thicker. I'm glad they finally have a conditioner and leave in for the Rosemary line, I can't wait to try them. Update: 11/23/23 Just in case anyone was curious, I tried out the Conditioner and Leave in.. and.. I wasn't a fan. The Conditioner is okay, but it felt too thin and not as thick or as good as Sheamoisture's Coconut and Hibiscus which is my usual one. The Leave in on the other hand was too thick. Even a small amount would be too much. My hair looked and felt off after using the leave in. It works much better on my hair when I put it on dry, but even then my hair doesn't look that good. As a final note I want to add that I feel like the Rosemary oil, Masque, and Shampoo sometimes weigh my hair down. It doesn't look as poofy or voluminous compared to when I only use Sheamoisture. Using only 1, such as the Shampoo or Masque only, doesn't weigh it down as much, but I still feel it some days. Just something to keep in mind. ... show more

I have to say that this shampoo leave my hair silky and smelling good. Problem is that this shampoo DOES NOT make your hair any thicker nor does it grow hair where it has thinned out to nothing!

I love this shampoo it gives a great lather for my hair and it is not stripping at all. This product goes hand and hand with the conditioner so please get both! I love using this with a mousse and it leaves my curls nice and hydrated.

I absolutely LOVE how this shampoo (and conditioner and hair oil) makes my hair and scalp feel. Works better than much more expensive brands, in my opinion. I'm so glad I found it! I love the scent, too.

    • This product is amazing. I could comb my coarse, tangly, multiple textured hair!
I liked everything about this item. I have thick, coarse, tangly hair with 3 different grades or texture. I am also "tender headed." This in combination with Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp Conditioner did wonders for my hair. I did not have to use a detangler brush. I used a comb after I washed my hair to comb it. It did not take me an hour to do it but a half-hour or less. I was not "ouching" and "oohing" when combing. I could not believe how my hair looked after washing it. It had a shine, the color was deeper, my hair was so soft and amazingly I could comb it. Since I used this in conjunction with the Conditioner and I don't know which did what, I am evaluating them together. Thanks granddaughter for recommending this to me.
